UK politicians struggling with their voters

in #news5 years ago

On the continent we no longer understand what the UK politicians are doing. I bet this is also true for many UK citizens.

Just now the UK MP's (Members of Parliament) voted against a hard-exit after they also voted twice against an agreed (softer) exit, the second with a solution for the Irish borders.

So then what do the UK politicians want ?

  • Some still want a better deal than Mrs May could achieve so far
  • Some with hidden agenda's want a new referendum that might result in a YES for Europe
  • Some want a referendum on what brexit voters want (hard, soft or even softer)
  • Some are just trying to work against PM Mrs May and her party for their own (future) personal benefits.

The problem is that if the other 30 European countries say NO to yet another period of "research" it will be a hard brexit per end of March as contractually agreed. But most likely some time will be granted under a condition of a new referendum only. Re-negotiate again would be a slap in the face of Mrs May who was told over and over again that this is it.

What do you think the other (eastern) European countries think? "The UK wants all the cherries but our citizens are no longer welcome and theirs must have the right of working in Brussels and Paris "?

To compare:
If you resign your job for another better paying job you can ask your former boss if you can still use the cafetaria, drink his coffee and make photo copies for a while but what do you think the answer is ?

I wish them much succes but all Europeans would like to see a new referendum.

Brexit seems crazy to me. But I just think about the added difficulty getting between Europe and Britain as a traveler and the disruption it will cause UK citizens living/working/studying in europe and same for Europeans living/working/studying in Britain. Plus the implications for trade of products and food. I would think the UK being smaller gets lots of things imported in. I can’t imagine pricing for anything in the UK would improve post brexit.

But not my country... so have at it.

Hey I'm new to this whole steem thing, but how come you've made $7.65? I wrote an article here:

https://steemit.com/brexit/@johnyelland1234/think-brexit-is-gonna-happen

and so far I've made 0.01 o.o

Any tips?

Let me explain:
If you check who are giving me the upvotes on this post you will see the biggest is smartsteem which is a so called bidbot (on www.steembottracker.com you can see all these bidbots and who is bidding for upvotes) ; So I used steem to buy me an upvote which I only do on quiet times to Ensure i get a little profit.
Secondly I became member of a steemit group called @ssg-community who are into stacking silver and posting about it in #steemsilvergold tag.

Members delegate steempower (bought with own money first) to this club in return of (very) profitable upvotes. A kind of selfupvotes. I delegate over 1000 SP to this club in return of votes. Apart form that the members also (auto) vote on eachother.

So earning something is quite difficult and most trending posts are upvoted by bought votes like I do as well although not that much as some. The return on delegating steempower to bots is like 15% per annum and via member bot can be like 30%. But even then it is just playing around considering the overall investment.

TIP: Like you did now commenting on items you see and love and post about is a away to get noticed by others.

Thank you for that. I just read an article about this actually. They said to make sure you leave yourself with a minimum of 50 steem power.

I only have around 15, so I'll keep chugging along and build it up till I can join one of these systems.

Thank you it was very informative.

woosh

I'm fed up with the whole thing now. I don't think they have any intention of leaving and add to this the fact they have singed up for the European army. If they wanted to sort a deal they could have. It all smoke and mirrors to divert our attention from what is really going on .... 5G! Also a nifty tool to create more division 💯🐒
