RE: I interviewed Roger Ver on www.FreeSociety.com - The World's First Free Market based Country

in #news6 years ago

Hi, I saw your link on an article of mine. Really enjoyed the interview. Unlike most people connected to BTC Roger seems like a genuinely great guy.

I've also had a dream of having a country free from politics and full of great minds since I was barely in middle school. Guess most of us free thinkers have dreamed about this. I know some of my friends have thought of the same. But when I was thinking of it, there was a difference.

Let's just say you go to a bad neighborhood wearing jewelry and best kinds of cloths bearing best kind of gadgets with all the people you love and connect with. Let me tell you the brutal truth. You going to get fucked both literally and figuratively. There are no work arounds. This is going to happen. There is no point of freedom and justice unless you can enforce it.

Why do you think crypto revolution survived the governments? Simply because you can't shut down cryptos. But a tiny country of good intelligent people who don't spend their lives screwing over and taking over each other in violent acts can be and eventually will be shut down. Period.

When I imagined my liberty land when I was a kid, I imagined it along with the most powerful weapons of mass destruction developed by the smartest people on Earth. Bad things that can happen will happen and without deterrents you have no real security.

Sort:

are you saying that freedom doesn't have a chance?

Freedom needs to be preserved. If you are not an aggressor, it doesn't save or protect you from aggression. Freedom only has a chance if it is enforced. This can be done in two ways:
#1 keeping it to a closed set of good actors
#2 Getting rid of bad actors as fast and efficiently as possible.

Take steemit for an example. Why is it the best large online community on this planet?

#1 We don't have much of SJW snowflakes, idiots, liberals, socialists, abusers, feminazis etc. The people within the community are mostly good, inteligent, productive people.

#2 Bad actors get flagged. They are stripped of rewards. They get warnings from the community. The steemit community is hostile to bad actors. up vote beggars and scammers don't go far in steemit.

Without both of these elements freedom has no chance. Roger Ver has taken care of #1. It'll be a great community. But how are they going to keep the effects of bad actors out. What if someone get aggressive on the NAP based community? You can't just be the good guys. You also need to make sure bad guys bite the dust or at least made powerless.
