#NewSteem: On this 'social' blockchain, do you consider yourself a HypeBeast? a FilthyRich? a DoomsdayPrepper? or a simple Influencer?

Yeah! tell me. ¿Which One?

Take Tha Test!!

I'm beginning to suspect, that one of the biggest hits that can be early noticed, so far, after HF21/HF22 on this #NewSteem recent mutation in the customary 'Social' side and the usual 'Human' dynamics within this platform. It all has to do and tends to be mainly seen as if it have felt its greater impact on the engagement department.

Since curiously, I've been witnessing during these last two weeks, that specifically comments & enthusiastic live interaction have started to decline substantially. In view that comments are now less likely to be rewarded, therefore and consequently by extension, people 'logically' are leaving less comments. Which obviously and ultimately impacts adversely the engagement level big time.

So, you wonder!

¿Are we a 'Social Network' or not?

¿Are we still planning on becoming one or not?

...erm yeah, Redd Kross. ;p

By the way, had you heard about the existence of this 'legendary band' before? ¿Yes? ¿No? Well, they also Born Innocent ya know?

Did you read that? ¿Black Flag - Circle Jerks - Bad Religion? Doesn't this ring a bell? Nah!! All this should only be pure coincidence. Hahahaha

Yep, an interesting story. But hey!! Could you pinpoint a few resemblances with many other utopias out there along the years? And its varied multiple mutations & transformations and its subsequent developments?

Well yeah. ¡Alright! anyway, whatevah!! ...let's move on.

Disruption is the key word here. ¿Right?

An app-based great customer experience. Based on active interaction and transparent responses and transactions between peers and all the 'parties' who are truly interested in the ecosystem health. In a coordinated method, with a similar style, and basic key manners that everyone can share.

“We are creating a community of like-minded individuals, building trust and reducing probability of fraudulent claims. If someone embellishes their claim, they are only depriving their cause”

Well yeah. If you don't fear to click on everything which looks clickable, you'll get the point!! Eventually... };)

Everyone has born innocent. Until they started to change of bands. Then, unexpectedly, all of the sudden, most of these early innocent punks began to stamp their t-shirts with a new slogan and a new name headline. Yeah! like those that appear above in the only blue text throughout this article.

So far, looks like, that for the biggest honchos and the big stakeholders on this digital pond. The original dream and initial virtual attempt to replace and beat the crap out from Facebook, Reddit, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Quora, LinkedIn and anything else which dares to poke its nose into the blockchained Social Networks which rewards monetarily to its userbase on the digital realms within the information superhighway. Apparently, it is not an attractive 'thing' anymore.

Without active human interaction, living engagement, constant vivid feedback back and forth. And the creation of true incentives, intellectual, spiritual and material 'face-to-face' to do all of the previously mentioned...

What is left in a pretended 'Social Network' of sorts?

¿A.I. Investors only?

In conclusion.

Which is your type? A HypeBeast? a FilthyRich? a DoomsdayPrepper? an Influencer? Just let us know. Perhaps and you can even be chosen to be featured in the upcoming Born Innocent Documentary about the Steem blockchain. Wouldn't you want be one of those celebrities?

Oh! and yeah. Somewhere in this article I've brazenly hurled de word 'logically'. Didn't you noticed it? ¿No? Well, then go back above and locate it to put you in context.

Logically, when you are unable to give or receive a damn in significant value of mutual common agreement when you dare to run the extra mile spreading visits with the courtesy of your living presence on other people blogs and content to interact with and drop your appreciative opinions and feedback on a 'Social Network'. What do you think could happen?

Yup! you guessed it. Simply wait for the next hardfork!! 🍴

I think you have a point, writen down in a style that is unique to you (matched only maybe by @futuremind, as I could see in his comment here) full of colour and which bears the risk of generating too many smiles ;-).

I think it's true that commenting has gone down quite consitently since the hard fork because it is much less rewarding to give votes to comments.

Well for myself I'm here on steem to enjoy myself. I love comments and I don't care whether it pays or not. For me the fact to earn something has always been a nice side effect. I have only one true problem with steem and it's that I spend way too much time on it. Which is bad for my business, my wife and my kids... There are some issues here and I don't know wheter I should need to try a therapy of desteemisation. So what would I say... I might be a HypeBeast maybe or just an addict...

Sheez @achim03. :/

I had already written you a long peroration in response to your comment the other day. But apparently my crappy internet connection prevented it from effectively crossing the barrier of hiccup adversity allowing that it would remain forever recorded in the immutable steem blockchain.

Crap!! I suspect that then you have been very lucky. For not having overwhelmed you with that long and strange reply of mine. And I guess you're still lucky. Because right now I don't remember what it was that I had already answered. Hahahaha

Cherrs!! :)

I did it, I clicked the unclickable. (Edit: I realize that made no sense at all, and is probably a side effect of reading a copious amount of text today ) without checking the link on steemworld first. So I guess I'm either crazy or just trust you for some reason ;) It did take me longer to read than the insurance claim he filed. That is pretty wild.

Logically speaking, it might be illogical to assume people will understand what will drive intrinsic value, and I don't think automation is doing us any favors at all.

I run some autos, and I check each and every post I vote (I didn't always, but I'm trying to be better with a system I see as worse.) I want to like the new curation system, but I'm seeing the lack of engagement, and circle jerks that are just as tight as ever. I didn't expect that to change. Curation window changes, auto cast time changes. Some are making a valiant effort to curate manually, but it doesn't change the fact that plenty still automate completely.

My personal opinion is it's fine to automate if you want to support someone and find their content agreeable. It's a great way to maximize your curation rewards right? Per the design of the system, which seems to have an obvious intentional design for automation, otherwise they would have forked that curation window shit out right? I think it's still appropriate to monitor autos and stop by for a comment once in a while at least, regardless of potential gain. (people waste all day on facebook for nothing right?) Autos screw it up I think. A manual vote cast, based on agreeable content, is more likely to spark some conversation.

The curation window still screws up manual curation I believe, because manual curators are hunting for posts which are 4 minutes old now, and don't want to waste time commenting.

Speaking of which, I'm 45 minutes in, clicked every link, watched the video, and have enjoyed myself. I don't give a damn if I make a penny off this comment. Would it be nice if some big willy saw it and hooked me up? Sure, is it likely.. pffff... doubtful.

Where the hell did @gentlebot go.. oh. powering down :(

I think I'm the doomsday prepper type. So I probably don't need to make my browser spaz out with:

Let us open 100 tabs of pure madness to fool trackers into thinking you're someone else.

That's great though, I'm always finding cool stuff on your blog!

Thank you for the thought provoking article.

PS. I've never heard of the band Red Cross until today.

I like your style. Steem definitely needs more comments at least on posts where the author puts a decent amount of time and effort into. See you around!

Oh! a decent amount of time and effort, has been my whole lifetime duty on the steem blockchain. That's why most peeps seem can't cope with this mess. LoL

See you around!

Sure thing buddy!! :)
