Redfish Power UP League and Wall of Fame Week #2
Welcome to the second weeks Redfish Power UP League and Wall of Fame. This week we have 9 new accounts join in for some fun and growth. There are now 62 redfish tracking their road to minnowhood.
I wish each and every one of you success in growing your account on Steemit. The aim of this challenge is to grow your own SP to 500. To learn more about this initiative please do have a read of the introduction post.

Redfish Power UP League
Every Wednesday I will be connecting to the SteemSQL database and gathering details on the Owned SP for each person in the league.
The current weekly owned SP will be compared to the SP held when the person joined the league and the average weekly % SP growth will be calculated. The person with the highest % weeky SP growth will be on top of the league. When a person reaches owned SP of 500, they will be removed from the league and added to the Wall of Fame.
Congratulations to @lemareg achieving 251% growth in SP this week. You will be send 1 SBI unit. Goes to show, even those with very low SP can grow just as much, if not more than others.

We have no additions to our Wall of Fame and so @wolfhart still holds the top position with a weekly average power up of 64% while a redfish.

Opportunities for Redfish
There are many opportunities for Redfish to earn STEEM and SBD to use to Power UP. One such project is Pay it Forward and the contests they run. Do have a look at @pifc which will be the home of all Pay It Forward Contests so you can try and win some STEEM or SBD
@dustsweeper is also an awesome way for Redfish to ensure they start earning. On Steemit, posts and comments with a payout value of <.02 are not actually paid out. @dustsweeper will sweep all your comments on the 5th/6th day and upvote it above the $0.02 threshold. So you don’t lose out. Every cent counts right. So head over and get your self and dustsweeper membership and collect every penny you can.

Great. I will take part. But so far my strategy has been to power down my SP rewards so that I can use it to buy votes to increase my presence. Any thoughts on this as a strategy? One thought I have is that I have a 100% success rate of buying votes right before the value of steem goes down, thereby losing on bought votes! I'm sure I can make that work for me somehow :)
I personally am not in favor of bidbots.

I initially didn't like the idea of bid bots as they mess with the organic nature of filtering what's good and bad, just like advertising does. However, I have to say I'm getting much better results using them. Infinitely better, in my small amount of experience, compared to not using them.

growth can be good one week and no so good the next, dont let this put pressure on you, over time we all grow

I really did nothing special. I just treated steemit like one of my social media accounts. I try my best to post everyday and socialize to others by engaging in wonderful conversations through the comments. I often upvote their posts though I doubt it would be of much value haha. I always respond as well to comments on my posts. Just be yourself and egage. I was even shocked that I was the top 1. I hope I can keep up the pace. I know you can do well too, just enjoy it like I did :)
I think that's helpful for the community! Your message basically is "engage, engage, engage" and post often - looks like a winning strategy! :)

Thank you so much for doing this for us @paulag. It really is a great motivation. Graduation for me won't be really fast but is is great to see a bit of increase each week.
