I agree that Cooke was a very gifted singer; but, as many a celeb, lost touch with the reality of things. He was a black man living in a white man's world, breaking all the rules of that time.

Fast living and fast cars have caused many a man (and woman for that matter) more woes than worth...jmho...But, I digress...
