A Sublime Sunday at our new home!
The first photo is a bit of a bleak moon, as we had rain early morning. The second photo is a new little welcome frog that we placed at our front door today. The third photo is of a beautiful aloe type plant the we see every day at the entrance to our complex. The weather has still not settled and it is raining right now as I type this on my PC.
We need the water and I am definitely not complaining, as I had enough time in the day to take some photos.

Here we have a little Red Collared Sunbird popping in for some nectar!
Clouds darkening and great sun rays!
The sun orb behind the top of our palm tree!
And finally, late afternoon rain clouds moving in!
From light to dark...and dark to light...very similar to the storms in our lives. But there is always beauty to be found in a storm, as whatever magnitude it takes it is meant to build us up. It is the light that a person needs to look for. How can we not look at the beautiful little creatures and plants and movements in the sky and weather and not be moved? How can we see the light at last and not appreciate it with great gratitude?
The Master Creator was indeed in a good mood when he designed the universe, and he placed the planet under our management. But sadly we are not coping very well are we?

Such contrasts in light and mood of the sky during the day can be unbalancing and kind of cool, thats a pretty healthy looking Aloe plant

We also here in New England sometimes get the four seasons in a day so I can relate, I know some people on here who have Aloe plants that they use for many things that shows it is an amazing plant

I want to thank you for letting me know what camera you used and I was able to pick myself up one on sale! Just reading over the manual and familiarize myself with it - it's going to be lots of fun and should up the quality of my photos!
Have you thought any more on putting your photos into a book? Perhaps one of your bird photos! Let me know if you want to move ahead on that!

So, you got the SX60! I am so glad and look forward to seeing your photos.
Just a tip here, get yourself a spare battery especially if you are going to shoot a lot.
They make a cheaper generic battery that's not as expensive as a "Canon" battery.
Also watch the zoom and get used to it, as over zoom blurs the pictures.
Best is to set the camera on "Auto" until you are used to it.
As you might know many of my posts moan about the destruction of nature for "progress"(Profits)

Surely, there are both lights and darks in all our lives just like how the skies change from moment to moment and there are beauty in both! :)
I love the photos, specially the birds, but also that plant, we have the same plant here in Australia, but I've never knew what they were, the long, aloe one! :D

The little red collar is a lovely singer, but he sits, sings for a moment and then flies.
So one has to listen, locate and shoot as quick as possible.

Oh! Regarding the two names.
I have in fact 3 names, but I only use the two.
Most people call me Stephen (My third name and others call me by my nickname Zac which I use for my photos. Zac is a short version of my first name.
