Squirrel overcoming obstacles!steemCreated with Sketch.

He said; "Well, what do you think about that"?

The squirrel's normally run at the top of a narrow garden wall to hide among the reeds when they fear that danger is around. Every time when I suddenly appear in the garden, they run along this wall.
But today there was an unexpected problem, as a big bird was sitting in his way at the top of the wall. I was slowly approaching from the one end and he urgently had to get to the other end, but the bird was in his way. So he had to make a plan.
Let's have a look!

Take a careful look here! You can see the big bird sitting on the wall, but look what is at the front of the bird in the tree.
The squirrel, and he cannot get past the bird as there is no space to jump the bird!

So he thinks to come down the tree!

But then he hesitates and sits to think!

Okay, he decided to come down the tree!

Hurriedly he made his way down!

He popped up in the garden to see where I was.
But I had decided to wait in the same place.

Then he did a surprising thing, instead of scattering, he started searching for a nut that he knew he had buried somewhere here!

Jumping and digging all over!

But he found nothing!

Then he popped up on the plastic sheet that covers the building sand and he had a drink from one of the rain water puddles.

Finally he decided to take off, problem solved!

This story so reminds me about some of the same problems that I had to face in my life. At first I wanted to act on impulse, but then decided to wait and to think my actions through. Magically the correct decision has always arrived after my hesitation.

I knew that some form of action had to be taken and once I had arrived at a logical and calm decision, just like this squirrel, I jumped into action. Here's the thing, once in action and I saw a way out, I started to relax and found that the process justified no more concerns.

Impulsive actions have led me into many pitfalls, and the lesson here is to think before you do or say. A rational way out will always appear. The old people had a good saying; "I will sleep on it" and invariably in the morning the answer presented itself!
Think about it!

Blessings and thank you!

That bird on the wall is so funny XD And what a lovely sequence of squirrely trip ! I'm glad it figured out what it had needed at the end :) Sometimes things do work out anyway, after we give it a bit of time and space :D

Lovely post, @papilloncharity <3

Thank you my friend, glad that you liked it.
The message that I was trying to get across is that rash instant decisions can cost us.
You are right as time and space is the answer!
Blessings!

What a cool post and message and i do think you are spot on a moment's hesitation to think things through can and often does lead to a better decision than just reacting on Impulse, which I to have been guilty of doing many times in my life especially when I was younger

I imagine! I kind of know you. 😉

LOL but for now I am a stable and sensible part of society kind of boring really

The wise squirrel teach us a valuable life lesson:) Amazing photo story:)

Thank you Sir George and I see that many like the message.
Rash decisions are never a good thing.
Thank you also so much for your help with the @helpiecake.
You are a blessing!

Yes, I agree. Better think twice before you do something. Unfortunately sometimes I forget this wisdom and I jump to conclusions. It doesn’t happen too often though. The older I get, the wiser 😉

Hahaha, we all make that mistake my friend.
Rash decisions normally result in a costly affair.
I should actually do a post on conclusions, a funny one.
Blessings!
