It does help in the over all game. You earn more DEC from playing and it opens up extra tournaments just for gold cards to play in. Plus the look cool.

I just didn't click for me. Its like heartstone and thats neither interesting to me xD
It's addictive and you can earn a lot of STEEM by doing it well so i like it.
