Do You Like Partiko's New Discover Function?
Hello Steemians! The productive @partiko app released a new version yet again. One of the most notable features is the "Discover" function. The team's description for this feature is as below,
Discover. Find new articles to read in a fun way unlike any before!
True enough, it was fun to explore the Steem platform through the "Discover" function. Each time you refresh the tab, fresh articles will be loaded.
A Start to Something Great
While the "Discover" feature seems to be just randomly showing some articles right now, I think it is a start to something great. I have been always hoping for a better feed which is designed to show articles that you are interested in.
Facebook took a long time to optimize the feeds that are shown to you. But ultimately, Facebook is a for-profit organization and the feeds are still cluttered with sponsored messages that you may not like.
I believe @partiko is onto something big. I am hoping they can optimize the "Discover" feature based on a few of the following factors:
- Show articles based on the tags that I have upvoted for
- Show some trending articles from accounts that I am following
- Show articles from accounts that my followers are also following
All these requires some data mining and analysis. But the cool thing is, all these information are readily available on the Steem blockchain!
Let's hope that @partiko is able to create a much better news feed than what we have right now.

I am back. Just tried this new function. TBH I did not like it at all. It seems showing to me the same posts again and again. Only in a different order after my each refresh. Like shufling the same 20-30 posts. May be some bug. I dont know

Seriously, this is the first time I heard of Patriko android.
And I see that you posted using it and really looks a great thing,, I will download itmmediately and for sure since you love it, I believe It is a great app. And could be a great step forward for Steemit.

Yes, in my opinion, it is the best mobile app to browse the Steem platform. The app is available on both Android and iOS so do give it a try :)

I havent tried Partiko Yet.... When it was first introduced, they only had android version so I didnt bother.... maybe i should look at it again
