The word 'sorry' could go a long way in making a angry mind relieved if say wholeheartedly. Some feel to big to say sorry while some say it without it coming from their heart. The best is, we should always learn how to apologize once we have wrong someone. Not just framing things up in order to cover such iniquity up.
Absolutely! Many people will try to look for excuses just to cover up their inadequacies. They will try to refer to an old engagement to prove a point so as to feel good about themselves and deviate from the apology. It's not too far fetched to see that ego and pride is at play in such lives. We can do better.
