Red seed pods or buds at the beach
Red seed pods or buds at the beach
First off let me apologize if my replies have been short, absent or with lots of typos Last night and today, but i have been mostly resting on the couch as sitting on my Computer chair is a little bit uncomfortable at the moment, well the sitting is OK, its the leaning back on the chair that is the problem.
Nothing to worry about I just had a small procedure yesterday to remove some damaged skin on my back and it was a little bigger than I expected, and being on blood thinners its a touch bruised and swollen, but will settle down quickly I know this from experience, I had had ones that were bigger this is only around 15 stitches so I am sure it will be feeling a lot better by tomorrow, but that all said lets get to this post.

On a visit to Gulf Beach last year I noticed these red things on some bushes near the beach, I am not an avid gardener, in fact I haven't lived in a place with a garden for perhaps 30 years, so forgive my ignorance, but I think they are seed pods, but I liked how the rich reds of the pods stood out nicely against the green leaves

And some more of them, these looks look to me like they are starting to dry up and do their job to drop seeds so more can grow

They have the look of "Rose Hips" only the leaves I see are
definitely NOT roses. But they are definitely seed pods.
Post upvoted Jay, I hope you heal up very
Quickly @tattoodjay. Be well
Thanks for the visit and yes the plants were not roses but your right they do look similar
and thanks I will heal quickly been through this many times :)
¿many times? What, may I ask, is it that you are having removed?
I have big "old man splotches" on my back, Dermatologists
Call then "Keratosis" or something like that, and won't
Bother to remove them. One keeps getting bigger
And has me worried.
No problem to ask this one is a Basal Cell cancer, there are three types of Cancer, Melanoma which is the worst and I have been lucky to only have one of those, then there are Squammous and Basal cell which are not as bad I have had a bunch of each of those.
I have a friend who has Keratosis and apparently it is fairly common and not dangerous, so I am sure your Dermatologist is on top of it :)
Beautiful photo!
At first, I thought rose hips! Then I scrolled down and people are saying no, not rose hips...
So I did some google image searching, and these look exactly like rose hips! That would be my bet, nothing else looks like that.
Hope you recover quickly!!
They may well be Rosehips as I said I know nothing about flowers and many seem to say the same so I am sure that is what they must be
Hope all is well friend. Love the contrast with the red and green.
Thanks My Friend and have a super Sunday
Oh those are so pretty! Feel better soon!
Thanks and I am getting old hat at this I will bounce back quick, just first time having it done while still on Blood thinners so I bruised a little more than normal , well not normal, more than I did previous times

Thanks for your feedback and a few thought they were rosehips, the plant didnt look like a rose to me but then again I am no expert , well I am whatever the opposite of expert is LOL
my gran-maS raised me right ;) hm over here the leafs dont look like rose plants, ours are like the one you took pix of :) I sure aint a expert but i have been beaten silly regarding flowers/weed & shroomies :P they are now turning them selfs in the grave As im taking pix of them instead of nutering/planting them ;) LOL
LOl My Dad was a Gardener and he must look down at me and shake his head, doing the same as you just taking photos and not growing my own :)
Real nice shots and colors! Sorry to hear and hope you get well soon :) ... the buds remind me of sorts of rose-family bushes. Not in US, from Europe, from my childhood. Kids took seeds out, grinded on asphalt and made colorful rings. We also ate the skin, it was sweet. In fact I got some dried and put them in to my tea mix :)
You just brought back a memory of grinding them up when I was a child as well and those were from my parents roses, these do look similar indeed, but the plant did not look like a rose to me but then again I am no expert
Gorgeous photos, as usual. I hope you are feeling better by now. Take it easy these days and don't over do anything.
Thanks Kindly, and yes I am taking it easy, havent been doing anything that could stretch or damage them, not looking forward to the train trip to and from the city tomorrow but it will all be good and I will heal fine have had similar so many times
Great captures!
Be well & Steem on :)
Thanks Kindly Cheers
