I grew up in Rochester, so I'm pretty familiar with the main hub downtown and also the St. Marys campus, but it can be quite confusing for first-time visitors. Fortunately, there is very good signage. The main hub where I was, which consists of the Gonda, Mayo, and Eisenburg buildings, is all connected in a row and easy to navigate. When you need to find some of the less connected buildings, though, things get a bit trickier. There are buildings further away, too, like St Marys, which require a shuttle or a car to get to.

Rochester has been awarded a bunch of money for the DMC (Destination Medical Center) project. I can only hope that they will make things easier to navigate, but Rochester city government has been very much against spending money on public transportation. A light rail system would be hugely beneficial, especially as the city continues to grow and traffic gets worse. You get an idea of the traffic by looking behind the Plummer Building in that second photo.

Now, that is a thorough answer.

Yeah, I agree, a light rail sounds like it would be helpful.
