Squirrel Tails: Everybody Loves Peanuts (Original Photos/Video) 3 October 2018
Everybody loves peanuts especially squirrels.
I recently filled the bird feeder up with peanuts. Woodpeckers love the peanuts, but it is also a big hit with the squirrels in the area.
On this windy day, a squirrel was hanging onto the bird feeder while feasting on peanuts.
A second squirrel climbed up to see what was so good to eat in the bird feeder.
The two squirrels chatted for a bit. The squirrel could see that there were plenty of peanuts in the feeder.
Then the squirrel climbed onto the feeder and nudged the first squirrel out of the way.
The first squirrel was out of there and jumped off the feeder to the ground.
Now the second squirrel was hanging onto the bird feeder eating peanuts while the bird feeder swayed in the wind.

It is beautiful to see the animals in their natural state, always and admired by the squirrels because they are very fast and their small sizes make them very tender ... I really liked the videos where you can see a squirrel taking a big leap.

I like feeding the birds in my garden, I’ve tried different things to try and keep the squirrels off but they are quite clever and they can’t half jump its not that I don’t like them but they will eat most of the food, my latest method is to grease the pole this seems to be working at the moment. I have had to put straps on my bird feeder with the peanuts. Without the straps, the squirrels and raccoons in the area will find a way to send the feeder crashing to the ground.
Squirrels and raccoons can be very clever when it comes to food, especially peanuts.
I only fill the bird feeder with peanuts once a week. Otherwise, like you said, all I am doing is feeding the squirrels and raccoons. I have even had possums eating peanuts out of the feeder.
