No see actually if you read the sites faq, you would see that copy pasting comments rather then writing a new one each time is called spam, that isnt just my opinion, the sites creators have taken the time to outline that themselves lol

Steemit.com says in their faq etc, that users found to be copy pasting generic comments over and over on any steemit post rather then creating original content aka freshly typed comments. may be flagged as that is considered abusive comment farming and spam.
I agree, that does sound like the definition of spamming. It also sounds like a good description for ads: repeating the same text in order to promote an event or a competition.
So there's a thin line between spam and promotion.
I do however agree with you being against spam, but who's using steemit.com?
While you do have a point regarding the way I was promoting my contest, dude, try not to get so easily offended...

Your using steemit.com..,... it dont matter if your using a second party ap. these articles are all on steemit, and property of steemit. and dont tell me not to get offended so easily just because i actually respect the system and the creators otherwise ill show you what i mean and message a couple 200 000 + steem users and youll see what i mean when your reps in the negatives lol, then well see which one of us is more offended. your kinda a arrogant prick. and theres no thin line, ads, that repeat themselves, on this site.... are considered spam, end of story.

Steemit.com is not the only website that runs on the blockchain of steem. It's just the first one.
