The Classic Eiffel Tower shot

This is the Eiffel tower, shot from the classic angle you see so often. Its taken next to the fountain at the Trocadero which looks out towards the tower.

On any given day you will encounter thousands of tourists, all battling to take a shot from this spot. Its very frustrating if you are setting up with a tripod for a good long exposure shot. I took several from this location but it took over an hour of waiting between tourists all jumping over the fence and standing on the edge of the fountain to take their crappy selfies. Why crappy? because they are all taking them in low light conditions that their phones clearly can't handle. I'd be amazed if they got a decent shot with the eiffel tower properly in focus in the shot.

But then i can be a real snob about stuff like that as I generally still hate the quality of photos phones can produce. In a couple years though we can probably all throw away our professional DSLR gear and just use our phones.
