MAGIC FOUNTAIN OF MONTJUÏC // AMAZING SHOW
Hello steemians I hope you are doing fine!
Today I decided to post some photos from the "Magic fountain of Montjuïc", located in Barcelona.
The fountain is situated below the Palau Nacional on the Montjuïc mountain and near the Plaça d'Espanya and Poble Espanyol de Barcelona.
The fountain, like most of the surrounding developments, was constructed for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition.
The "Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya" is located here.
Every week, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm to 10pm, a show takes place. The performance includes music like modern, classical and trust me it is something really worth seeing.
The first show took place on May 19, 1929.
The show was really crowded, so many people just sitting there and enjoying the music while the fountain changing light colors.
The fountain sprays 700 gallons of water a second through 3620 jets to create its effect. The highest water spout is 170 feet.
I really loved this performance, and if I was living in Barcelona I would be there every week for sure!

Sounds good. Are you just visiting Barcelona or do you live there? It's been twenty years since I visited the city, but I remember all the amazing Gaudi architecture.
No I live in Greece, I just visited Barcelona for one week and it was amazing! Yeah I know I visited all Gaudi's masterpieces such as park Guell, casa mila and there were just impressive. I am really thinking about moving to Barcelona next year and find a job there.

Sounds like a great trip! Good luck with the move, if you end up going there. Barcelona is an impressive place.
I've been looking for a way to move back to Spain for awhile, now. Unfortunately, as a non-EU citizen, it's very difficult to do. Employment is high, so getting a work visa is a problem. I lived in Andalucía for three years through a program that allowed me to work in the public schools, there.
Oh yes I see. I hope you have good luck with these and manage to move to Barcelona. It is so beautiful city to live, I actually can't wait!

I actually prefer the south. I lived in Ronda, in Málaga and would like to go back there. :-)
