Move
A few times in my life I’ve asked for an answer specifically. Does it really matter to whom? To the ether, the universe, some higher power or, the ones that run the simulation? Once you’ve gone through stages of healing, you start wondering what more is out there again. You’ve ran the same path countless times and forgotten the pain and desperation you had in the beginning of the journey. Every step forward has taken you farther away from the wreckage, from the person you once were.
Why would you step away from this seemingly peaceful place? Maybe you’ve learned that no matter the outcome of the new adventures, it actually is better moving than being in the wondering waiting place. World and opportunities slipping by. Maybe it is also not so scary to fail. So what if you do? Embarrassment for what? From who? Does it really matter so much? No, not really.
Running path is always waiting, if the roof comes down again. One foot in front of the other. Just move! The training is over for now.

As for a "higher power" ... I don't think there is such a thing. At least, I see no reason to think such a thing exists, and so I can't take the idea seriously. ... Something "running the simulation" is entirely possible, and more probable than any sapient god-like being, but again, with no way to test the hypothesis, I can't take the idea seriously. It's fun to speculate and talk about, especially with people like you, but in the end, I live my life as though this is it. Nothing more. When I die, I don't exist any more.
In this way, I feel, I will live the best life I can live, because of the (annoyingly) short time I have.
Getting past your old self and finding new selves (and then those new selves turning into old selves) is what life is all about.

Yes. I understand your point of view. Can't say I believe anything either. Most likely our lights will just go out and we will be gone. However, sometimes I look up to the sky and wonder what's out there and talk it. It probably never talks back and it is all just me, but I like the feeling no matter how imaginary, silly and insane it is :)
Would you want to live longer? Have you seen TV series called Altered Carbon. It plays around with the idea of cheating death.

You seem to have forgotten that we already spoke about Altered Carbon and living longer ;P (Don't worry, I know it must be really difficult keeping track of all these comments!). I loved that series ^^ ... And most definitely, I would want to live longer... I agree that for a society it would probably be a negative thing, but if it were just me... Or perhaps just me and one other person ;) ... To be able to learn/experience so much more than is possible in only 70-90 years, and to see the future!... would be amazing...

Well, I invested a little in old/new DSLR camera and it has served me well so far. I'm learning baby steps, but mostly it is intuitive and I have no idea what I'm doing It is fun to experiment though and see what works.

The movement allows you to look for an opportunity, we can not hold on to waiting for that door to open, instead, you can put your effort to open a thousand more and if it is not achieved, then just keep trying, one day after another, one day at a time, in the movement is the change that we all hope will happen

You are absolutely right. We are the ones to make those steps towards something new and it does change a lot of things. Waiting place might be safe, but it is being stuck. I always want to have something to look forward to, going places, meeting people, doing things. It is the best feeling.
Keep going, opening new doors and doing new things. I'm curious ... Because curiosity makes us follow new paths.
