Large fungus post
No large fungus but only a long post.
As I already mentioned in my #monomad post from today I took a lot of mushroom shots on my lunch break walk today. So as i was browsing trough these shots I edited them straight away as I wanted to share these shots with you guys as I quite like my first fungi shoot ever.
I don't know much about fungi species so no names with the shots. If you know any names please leave a comment so I can archive these shots under the right name and make better posts in the future. Next time I go for a fungus run with the camera I will also bring a plastic bag or something so I can sit or lie on the wet dirt ground. Most of these I made squatted with the camera low to the ground trying not to shake to much, so indeed next time something for a more relaxing position for me. So on with some shots.
I took the bike towards the forest and started walking from there, most times I am in a forest I keep on the paths as it's supposed to, but today I wondered of a bit of as I saw these fungi just behind a little bush next to the path. Click on any image for the full version.
The next image gives me an instant full blown autumn feeling, some mushrooms with some acorns in the back.
From this spot I walked a bit further into the forest between the trees as I saw this already rotten group of mushrooms. I was hoping that maybe another group was in the neighborhood but no luck on that for today, Just these rotten ones.
But I spotted some more tree stumps a bit further away whit some great looking fungus. So again with careful steps a bit further into the forest away from the path. Only one hare came out of hiding as I was walking so not disturbed the fauna to much.
I love how they are growing out of every crack in the stump. And there where a lot of mushrooms at his point in the forest so there are some more shots coming your way.
The tree sprout looks so green in this dreary weather with the mushroom in three different growth stages in front.
First thing that sprung to mind seeing these was as if someone has put a pile of baked goods down. Still covered in some left over flower or powdered sugar.
Funny that I got a sow bug in this shot as well, looks a bit like it is falling here. What triggered me for this shot was the mouth filled with fangs shaped side on this mushroom.
And we finish with one of my personal favorites.
So far the mushroom shots for now. As this little forest is almost next to our house I think I will do some more fungus photo shoots in the nearby future. Next time indeed with a plastic bag so I can lie down on the moist forest floor without ruining all my cloths.
Have an amazing day!

Thank you so much!
a lot of lovely super captures here. you really nailed this autumn rainy soaked feeling all around. cant point out one favourite, there a lot of very cool ones. personally, i enjoyed more 2nd part of the post, for THE stump and rotting wood textures. please 'keep them coming', from time to time.
Thank you so much my friend! I also like the second part of the post, like it when the mushrooms take over an object in the forest like a stump or a branch rather then just pop up trough the leaves. I will go for a stroll there again soon and take some more shots. Now is THE time for shooting them with the nice moist forest floor. Have a !BEER for the wait.
well, apparently rotten wood, and green tree trunks without bark, seem a much more attractive and photogenic texture than leaves. that's why this pictures are more interesting (in my opinion). this morning I paused my cycling to office and spent 15 mins on my knees with 150mm -- I just couldnt resist the temptation! soon I will share the results, why I did it. #fungifriday tomorrow )))
