Great poem, people littering in general pisses me off, ocean littering is worse since it's not visible on the surface and leaves no guilt for this terrible act :/

Thanks @ivan-g. Yeah, littering in general is just such a thoughtless act of pollution. Something that is so easily avoided, but when you come across a big patch of plastic waste in the ocean it can be absolutely staggering the scale of it. I have only seen big drifts once of twice diving but it is horrible when you do see it. Thanks for your comment and support on this issue :-)

Beautiful poem, I think I'd start scuba diving..... The adventures are going to be epic 😀

Yeah man @stevenson7 definitely try scuba diving, it is amazing despite the plastic you come across sometimes. The vast majority of the experience is one of beauty. Good luck with the diving :-)

Aargh, the ocean pollution is depicted clearly through your post. It's a saddening fact to hear how you always come back from diving encountering plastic waste. We must do our part! Thank you for spreading the awareness across Steemit too, @raj808.

Thanks for your comment @happycrazycon. I will always keep pulling as much plastic out of the ocean as I can. I'm glad to hear that the poem had the impact I hoped it would :-)

I'm ever conscious of plastic waste and make sure to cut even the plastic rings from soda bottles into small pieces to prevent any Wildlife from getting attached with it. I love your poem and the beautiful photographs. I didn't know you scuba dived, I guess I need to be a little more aware of your blog! I hope that you are well.

Yeah, I do that too @wandrnrose7 (cutting the plastic 6 pack plastic rings up I mean) and the sad thing is that there is no place to put it after that other than the bin. I know where my waste goes to landfill so I do know that it has a higher chance of not ending up in the ocean but that hardly matters as landfill has its own pollution problems. Plastic is a massive problem tbh, if we could cut out all non-biodegradable waste like that it would have a huge impact but until that point everyone contributes without any choice in the matter. It needs addressing on an industry level. Anyway, we all do what little we can. It's good to hear that there are loads of others out there doing the right things like you are :-) Glad you enjoyed the poem. I ham mad for scuba diving but haven't blogged much about it since my early days on steemit as I ran out of material. It's an expensive hobby. I'm fine thanks :-) Been doing my bit trying to address some of the things that make me mad about the world helping to set up a charity on steemit. Check out @projectgiving if you wanna see what I have been up to these past 6 weeks

I am glad to hear you're well and I agree. Everyone needs to contribute and so few are truly concious of the animal population balance. Heading to your page.

Wonderful poetry and photos to highlight a definite environmental problem. At first, I was enchanted, then recoiled in horror, for I know this is all-too-true, sadly. Bravo for this great post! TheAlliancePINK-25x25.png

Thanks @thekittygirl it's great to hear the poem had exactly the effect I was trying for. I wanted that real shock value from one extreme of beauty to another of bleak ocean pollution. That poem is based on an experience that made me shed a tear or two into my mask. I had to clear the mask at 10 meters just to continue the dive. These things effect me quite deeply as I have seen much worse than just plastic trays floating having helped out with turtle conservation efforts a few times. I saw some really horrific things which I don't want to go into but were the result of plastic pollution. Thanks for your comment and support over these issues :-)

Good post... well written..
