Contents Under Pressure
the pressure
envelopes me
drains my resistance
and snatches
the air
before it touches
my lips
leaving me
gasping
and struggling
to breathe
the tightness
in my chest
hinders my movements
and robs me
of my ability
to be
functional
and remain upright
for the duration
of the day
o goddess of infirmity
bestow upon me
the elixir of robustness
the kiss of good health
lay hands
on my affliction
and grant me
relief
