burned and slashed and suffocated
still my movements fail to cease
bury me in earth and stone and
watch me rise with practiced ease
don’t try to hold me back
no fence can keep me in
don’t cross my name off the list
i’m gonna make it to the end
i’m not invincible
but i’m pretty damn close
got warrior blood in my veins
i’m an original
individual
see the beauty in my scars and my pains
caught the sun in my bare hands
when it tumbled from the sky
chopped a mountain right in two
just because you think i’d lie
i’m not invincible
but i’m pretty damn close
got warrior blood in my veins
i’m not a sinless saint
i’ve just accepted my nature
don’t have a bridle don’t need no reins
