Anyone else still powering up?
I have this thing where I go check people's wallets and see what's going on in there.
See who's sending money to who. Which of the big guns are powering down. That sort of thing.
After a quick look through accounts last week I was not so surprised to see many powering down.
Hey, with the low price of Steem which seems to get lower, I don't really blame people.
Quit while youre ahead right?
I learned this lesson through art last week and it seems I still didn't get it.
Powering Up
You know.. I have been trying to draft an "editorial" of sorts regarding powering up for weeks now and the longer I left it, the greater my anxiety about it increased until I realised why I couldn't write it.
Back at the start of the year, when crypto was rising and things were good (remember those days?), I insisted to someone to invest in ETH and they did. Not long after everything crashed.
Lesson learned on that one.
Don't give financial advice.
Telling people to power up is kinda like financial advice and I'm just not suited for that.
For my part, I can only say I'm a Steemit believer. I know Steemit will be all we thought it could be. Especially if we continue to work together to make that happen.
To all of us still Steeming on despite the current crypto climate.

Of course, it's the great way to rank up in Steemit.
Powering up is always good advice.
People who are powering down now obviously dont understand crytpo or investment. buy low sell high is the best advice - and loads get scared and do the opposite.
Im here for the long haul so powering up is my main focus!

I blog many other places for nothing. At least on Steemit I can earn some money and buy some Silver and Gold with it.
I’m curious though.... If you are not here for the money what are you here for ?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m hoping my little bit of SP will be worth a lot more in the future - but it’s not my main reason for staying here.
I think I could earn bigger returns for less energy elsewhere at the moment - but I came here to be on a social media platform where I can learn about blockchain. I’ve learnt heaps and I like the community.
I don’t know of anyplace on the Internet where I can earn more than I do here with Steemit. My YouTube channel makes about $3 a day and I am earning about 30 Manna Universal Income each week.
That’s cool - I’m not disagreeing with you. I’m not a youtuber - so I just mean I could earn more by doing an extra shift at work, and then using that to power up.
My steemit blogs earn about 10c - as opposed to about $20/hour at work.
Totally get your point, I’m just saying that if earning money was all I wanted to do, then steemit wouldn’t be the best use of my time and energy right now.
The fact that it is the best way for someone like you to earn money is one of the reasons why I believe in steem’s potential.

I hear you on that! My thing right now is community delegations. Much prefer that than bots at least the money goes back to the community.
Ive got a few out atm and now have to work extra hard to get back up there.
Would love to be able to drop $10 votes on people one day.
