9 months ago, I crafted a NONFICTION serial story post, using my
Mother's Words
Written BY HER years ago.
There were five installments. I can find 4 of them in search, but
NOT THE FIRST CHAPTER
So I saved the links I could find, then started clicking backward on my profile.
The first time I tried it only went 8 months then stopped.
Every subsequent time I've tried, it stops at 5 months ago.
So if it is on the blockchain FOREVER, but I CAN'T REACH IT
That means someone else who is more tech savvy than me CAN
and possibly use it.
I still have all the words and photos, but NOT THE FORMATTING.
I put a LOT of PERSONAL TIME AND ENERGY into crafting these posts.
Hell, for that matter my involvement with Steemit from the START
Was with the ultimate aim of writing a book of poetry. Steemit gave
Me formatting options not available to me
Previously in any other platform I'd tried.
So here I am yet again feeling betrayed by this platform,
I feel we've been LIED to!

Very possibly my final post here
I have been keeping my posts saved for the past few months. That doesn't help when you want to go back further...
See, that's the real problem. When it comes to my poetry and
writings, I HAVE THEM saved, those things have all been
Written since 2015 and are saved in a folder on my computer.
My mama's story I also have, the original WRITTEN DOCUMENT;
but NOT my steemit edition, with the footnotes, the photos
Inserted in the proper places etc... my commentary along the
Way especially, was ME speaking FROM MY HEART,
Extemporaneously, as I was going, in the moment, as I felt
AT THAT MOMENT.
I am so hurt and betrayed right now.
I think there are quite a few who are disillusioned and hurt by the failings of steemit...
Of course you can reach it, simply Google it. I know it sucks, but that's the nature of the platform.
Apparently we will soon be able to edit work older than 7 days old. Looking forward to that 🙄

I think this was the image at the beginning
I think that you have originally either used a different title, or made a typo. Because if you had stuck to the naming, then all you'd have to do is omit the words chapter 2 from the title and it should link....
Hmm, have you tried logging into busy.org or steempeak? They have better UIs and you will probably be able to go back further.
What's weird is that all the images on Google, all point back to that chapter 2....
Also, I have done this myself by the way, if you post something, and then change your mind on the title. The title will change, but not the url. So maybe that's what happened?
I'll keep thinking about this one, and try and help you out. Hang in there, we'll find her beautiful words!

Bingo! The title wasn't quite right... plus forget about using the search within Steemit, even though it says Google, I think it's an old crappy API. Always use the real Google! :-)

I did both scrolling and searching (at the top of THIS page, not outright google, but this is google search anyway)
It was called "Love Came Twice" (mama's title, not mine)

howdy sir jerrytuseer! well that isn't what everyone says is it. And if it is available by using google then we would have to keep accurate records of each post as far as the titles and what was in it..at least I would because after a few hundred I wouldn't be able to remember them.
Very good points here, I guess I better try to google a past post and see if it comes up!
