RE: Beware Of False Doctrine In The Church

in #religion6 years ago

I don't think it's possible to lose your place in the body of Christ. You can't lose your salvation.

I don't like the ERV translation. The Bible should be translated as close as possible to the original words used. Someone can use a dictionary or a commentary if they don't understand it. This is what it really says:

(Mark 13:22 NIV) For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect--if that were possible.

Sort:

Hmm, i know God is not a wicked or heartless God and Jesus coming and death is for the salvation of all that's why we are mandated as a Christ follower to preach the gospel to the world so as to save souls and bring them into the kingdom of God.

I can't claim to be an authority when it come to reading, studying and understanding the word of God but i will like to ask a question

What do you think would have be the ending of the prodigal son if he had ignore all the signs or pointers pointing out his mistakes and the result of his foolish decision ? What do you think would have been the ending if he did not return and seek forgiveness?

There are many of our fellow brothers and sisters who got backslide and become a total non believer of Christ and from my experience i know God is not resting on their case. Everyday by day, every second He is always talking to them, nudging them here and there. What do you think will be their fate if they refuse to give in till the end?

Now in the church and society are people all in the name of what they will eat and political correctness are subtling changing The Word of God and if those listening to them are not careful before they know it they will find themselves out of tune with The True Word of God, even discarding it.
