Small Time Operator – Welcome LEO!

in #smalltimeoperator5 years ago (edited)

Hello Steemian friends and welcome LEO!

It appears LEO did come in with a bit of a roar, and maybe some skeptical mumbles too, but I have to say I see a definite niche and need for LEO. There is real need for more divisions, classifications and marketable labeling (Search Engine Optimization – SEO) for Steemit posts.

In True Small Time Operator Style

I probably will not tag very many of my posts with the LEO tag, because the majority of my posts will not qualify to be tagged as such.

But, I still want to participate, support and benefit from LEO. Accordingly, in true Small Time Operator fashion, I staked all of my airdropped LEO coins, and I purchased one LEO Mega Miner token! I am already earning LEO! Woo hoo!

Marketing Is Important

I am far from being a professional investor, and still wet behind the ears in all things related to crypto currency, but I have spent a good chunk of my time learning and understanding Marketing Psychology.

What I do know is that any entity looking for advertisers and/or sponsors has to provide targets for the business investors they are trying to attract.

For instance, my favorite local radio station has to provide an age range, lifestyle, and general income information on their audience to convince companies that advertising on that radio station will give them a good return on their investment (ROI).

So the business folks of Steemit need to be able to provide that kind of information to any prospects they are trying to attract as well. And notice that I said my favorite local radio station.

Their marketing department doesn’t try to get UK based businesses to advertise with them. There is no point, since all of us here have south in our mouths, and we are more interested in someone that can fix our AC this time of year.

I love that Steemit throws me in the same waters with great people and writers from all over the world, but an advertiser wants to pay only for advertising that focuses on just the part of the world his business can reach.

The more niched and easily identified that Steemit communities and their member’s posts can become, the more businesses will be attracted to Steemit as a place that will help them reach their target audience.

I’m Hoping To See Crowdsourcing Investments

While I’m here, I’ll also share a hope or dream. I would love to see crowd sourcing investment opportunities develop from the Steem platform, and then see LEO cover all the details and deliver informative posts about it.

Let me clarify what I am hoping for. I am not talking about crowdfunding, like GoFundMe or Kiva. Not that crowdfunding would be bad, but we can’t all be Mother Teresa.

What I am talking about is Micro investing. For example, allow all and any Steemians to invest by purchasing a share (which could be tokenized) and have our investments placed into a real estate investment company that buys properties, resells or rents those properties, and returns a share of the profits to investors, based on the percentage of investment.

Plenty of other businesses could be handled in this same manner. So what do you think?

I got some Leo airdrop but my content isn't anything to do with investment so I'll probably just either stake them or keep them liquid (as I still vote and read investment articles).

What is the website to use to log in to Leo front end? Never done it before actually haha!

As for niches and communities, I think it is a great move and agree that advertisers would probably be more interested in investing because the niching and targeting would be done for them for the most part!

The website address is actually very similar to steemit, but replace steemit with steemleo. This post will not show up there, because it should have the tag steemleo, and I think it is too late to change it now! 😜

Thanks for stopping by and your supportive comments!

Ah perfect thanks for that!

Hmm, I'm not sure if there's a time limit but at least you know for next time to include the tag 😁

I went ahead and tried it and it worked! So now the post will show up on Steemleo!😁

Howdy tonight cindyhartz! That's a great idea about the micro investing. I bet we'll see that here!

Lots of different tokens. I staked my airdrop from Leo but haven’t done anything else.

Did you stake PAL?

Posted using Partiko iOS

Yes, I did stake pal. I am unable to sign in on the steemleo site. It keeps sending me to steemit to sign in.

I have some Leo airdrop sometimes ago, will be keeping an eye on it.

Be sure to stake it to benefit from what you already have! Even if you don't post on LEO, or purchase any mining tokens, you can still earn by voting and making comments on other's LEO posts - if your LEO is staked! ;-)

Yes interesting to see the tribes or communities develop..

I am not a big invested either and I have such a lack of time to figure out everything.

If it comes to advertisers I agree but to be honest I do find Leo a bit boring. Many post do not really bring something new. Easy copies made of news items. What has potential is written for insiders. You need to be in that world to understand how or what.
So the uestion is how to find a good, easy read that explains what to do step-by-step.

I notice the same here on Steemit. To many English is also not their native language.

Micro investing might be a great idea.

💕💕

That's the value of the blockchain, open to a variety of applications.
Crowdfunding is bound to appear in some form or other.

We are in the same boat regarding investments, as I am a simple charity man and although I know how to claim, staking is still foreign to me hahaha.
But I will get there sooner or later.
Blessings!
