@ethandsmith's been out hunting treasures again, and he's come back with a sackful of free software tools for Windows. For me, Clipdiary sounds like the answer to a prayer. Stop in and see if what he's found will solve some of your problems -- or just make life easier. Jeez, who could pass up that offer?

Also -- at the bottom of the post he's promised this is the first of a series. You might want to follow his blog to catch all his good goodies. FYI, the man hasn't lied to me yet. When he says he'll be back with more, I believe him.

I can't say it's good news, but at least we know about it. I'm sure Alzheimer's research is complicated and frustrating. Anything that deals with the brain and its delicate structure and neurochemistry has to be. But the long string of treatment failures across the years is beyond disheartening.

@holbein81 talks in his essay about the search for a cure for this terrible disease, which would be an enormous blessing. I wish my cynicism didn't make me wonder if what Big Pharma is really looking for is some hellishly expensive and perpetual treatment (and not a "cure" at all) ... and that's what they're having trouble finding. Color me crazy if you like. I just don't trust those bastards. Still, @holbein81's article is worth reading, which is why we all are here.

@awakentolife is in the kitchen again, this time whipping up and sharing his recipe for hummus. I guess I'll have to try this stuff. People I trust are raving about it. @catweasel says he loves hummus, but then again, he'll eat anything. I never go by what he says.
