Focussing too much on wanting something may turn the subconscious mind onto the focus that it is actually still missing. We generally want things we don't have otherwise we wouldn't want for them. If you get to a point where you can truly feel like you had the million dollars on your account actuality will follow suit eventually.

The best criticism of the law of attraction I have heard is that wanting something from a rational level does not have the effect that the feeling of having it generates. It's where people tend to get stuck because the thought does not go into resonance with the inner feeling.

A good idea would be to do things that make you feel rich, and affirm that constantly. It doesn't have to be a money focus, simply reminding yourself how rich you are by the awesome friends, the place you are at, the food you dig, the appreciation for nature and the gratitude for your health - all these will cement a richness feeling inside of you that eventually will spill over into all areas of life.
