As you all know - I am still celebrating @aggroed's incredibly generous support of my latest project: SPUNKEE MONKEE.
It's an awesome online treasure hunt that empowers families to set great habits and healthy mindsets for their growing children. As they perform daily tasks set in these five categories: Health & Hygiene, Environment, Future Career, Hobbies & Talents, and Service - they earn POINTS that they can trade in for DIGS on the Treasure map!
As the kids are searching for the fun treasure in the map - parents (and Spunkee Monkee) are thrilled to help give them PRICELESS treasures as they learn how to prepare for LIFE!
And the FUN DOESN'T STOP THERE! Once we launch the full version dapp, (set for early spring 2019) we begin a full 6- month Treasure Hunt with Leaderboards and global activity! The culmination of EVERY year will be our exciting 3- day SPUNKEE MONKEE GALA where the top 25 finalists will be showcased and highlighted while they compete for the amazing honor of:

As I was talking to @paulag (mom of our very own dtube MONKEEESTAR @princessamber), she mentioned that @princessamber is at the age where the support and encouragement of upvotes and comments means more to her than the value of the vote. The concept of the money behind the steem is a little "lost" on her young mind.

Log in to https://steemauto.com/ (made by the amazing work of Steemit Witness @mahdiyari) using Steemconnect
Step 2
Log in with Steemconnect. Always verify the URL address is from the secure site https://steemconnect.com!

Choose Curation Trail
Step 4
Scroll down to search for Curation Trail and Enter: spunkeemonkee in search bar. Make certain it is spelled SPUNKEEMONKEE

Found it! Click FOLLOW! 🐵
IMPORTANT Step 6
Set your % vote! When you click follow - it will save with DEFAULT settings. But... NOW you want to update those settings! Though you might be tempted to do a large vote, it's not necessary! The @spunkeemonkee account will be giving them a 25 cent vote (thanks to the GENEROUS @AGGROED - THANK YOU!!!), so you can add your support as low as 1% scaled! This means if Spunkee Monkee votes at 100% - you vote at 1%. If Spunkee Monkee votes as 50% - yours is now 0.5% It scales it to 1% of my vote. With Resource Credits and Voting power being an issue, Spunkee Monkee wants to honor your support and refrain from draining you! The kids will just see more upvotes - and THAT'S the thrill! Of course, if you'd LIKE to give more - you can! Just know that SPUNKEE MONKEE WILL ALSO BE SELF-VOTING POSTS with any remaining votes AFTER ALL THE MONKEES have received their 100% upvotes and reward votes! Monkees ALWAYS get the priority, but we NEVER want to waste any leftover daily votes after they've been supported! 🐵

It sounds like you are one of the rare people who had great instruction from parents/ mentors on how to plan accordingly and chip away daily at tasks instead of procrastinating until the last second and adding stress and anxiety to their lives!! Lolol
Whoever it was that modeled that for you as a child should be praised!
So glad that works for you! Hoping we can be a similar model for families to adopt as parents look to instill that same model in their kids (with a little added fun!)

I’m curious how this works. Wouldn’t they kid just say and it’s done and mark off the sections of the map? Would the parents have to verify something is actually done? If you have global leaderboards that could lead to any kind of monitary prize, would just have people cheating like anything else? If it’s just app that tracks chores done, couldn’t be done on any website with no really need for an app? Will this app be tracking what kids do? If you want families to get together more, wouldn’t be better to have less phone time? Do kinda really need an award for everything?
Ok I’m not trying to be harsh, it’s an interesting idea but it seems entirely impractical. I get it, you want to bring things to blockchain. This just seems like a roughly carved square being thown at precise triangle slot.
I’m not saying it’s bad idea entirely, it just seems more like an idea. If your asking for support, which is essentially money from people, I think you could at least include more of a presentation. Charts diagrams, objectives, make it seem like a real project.
As a side note, if it works great I’m happy for you And maybe you make something good. I’m just here for the memes and the discord. Good luck
