Human behavior isn't masturbation. The problem is voturbation, and always has been and always will be. The voturbation would be OK, if it didn't directly negatively impact the community. You seem distraught and rightly so since you seem to want to reconcile abuse for which the flag got an explicit bulletpoint reason a year and so ago with human behavior. There's nothing to reconcile though and steem is an experiment? Hardly the intention behind it, and intent is everything, which is also coming back to human behavior, you seem to be of the opinion that abuse is normal human behavior, dare I say you think it healthy even, or should I rather say Steem is supposed to be in beta?

Oh, I beg to differ. Many spend a lot of time and feel good due to masturbation. It's not my thing, but it could be argued it is just a form of self-care.
I view abuse as somethng you can point at and show some damage of some type.
Each of us controls our own stake. Some choose to buy it, some choose to sell it. It all seems perfectly fair to me. I'm happy to see you!
Abuse is masturbation in public. Stake without ethics is also abuse. Abuse is using a feature for extracting equity out of the system which is meant to (don't crucify me!) add value in more ways than one. It's not fair in any sense and the abuse is the same people suffer from the monopoly on gosh darn it just about everything besides marijuana, which is that taken to their obvious conclusion leaves no organic curation which makes this place into a joke which ultimately is not an "experiment " regardless of the fact that by that time the joke will be experiment failed, this place is a public forum and represents the first iteration of what will ultimately have a concrete structured constitution which resolves to curb abuse as Steem has tried so far, as Dan has tried as well and as Ned will need to deliver on or eventuality the community will fork it and continue to perfect the balancing act of inclusion and exclusion, which is exactly centered around what people "view" as abuse, or what they don't want to see.
