Steem on the move. I hope my fellow steemians are in!
Hello guys,
Considering a slight pullback this morning as the entire market took a little dip due to Korea announcing to ban any new ICO's in the country (South Korean Regulator Issues ICO Ban) the market is recovering fairly nicely since then with STEEM continuing its upward move that started yesterday after our CEO Ned announced new steemit project called SMT's (Announcing: Smart Media Tokens (SMTs)). The price of Steem started to climb immediately after the announcement as this is a huge breakout not only for steemit but for the whole social media and the internet overall. If you read through the blogs of other steemianas reporting on the announcement or Twitter feeds then you will see why the price is moving up.
I do not want to speculate on the price but considering the level of disruption this can cause the only way for steem to go is up. I just hope it will be you, my fellow steemians, that will be able to benefit from its rise as you are the ones that are driving the success of this platform since the very beginning helping to pave the way for others to implement the same system. It would be disheartening to see that only big outside investors will be able to benefit while the little guys will get left behind. I personally believe that the price of 1.44 USD per Steem at the time of this writing is ridiculously cheap and won't stay at those levels for a prolonged time.
As a part of this post, I am not only including the chart of Steem but also Ethereum for you to see a huge bull run ETH has had this year so far. I am not implying Steem will take the same curve but considering the similarities that steemit blockchain will be able to offer to others now, I am extremely bullish. Please do not consider this as an investment advice and only invest the money you are willing to lose. The future looks bright and you will either be part of it or you will get left behind. The time to act is right now.

I am a believer in Steem
in other crypto currencies I see that you can only earn if you hold longer, buy in dips etc
But in Steem.... you only need to be active. I started my Steem account just 90-100 days ago, I am not so much active and I earned decent
I love steem and when people will see this they will jump on the Steem train
I am sure about it!
Like you say, the beauty of steem is not only appreciation in value but most of all the ability to earn which gives you a great return even without the currency rising in value. Both combined together and adding compounding effect to that can lead to real wealth building never seen before! I think people do not realize that!

I'm sad to see people chasing every new stupid ICO, but don't trust steemit inc. team. They don't want to buy cheap steem now. And later on, they gonna complain that we bought all and they are poor. And on top of that, they'll want to tell me how to vote and how to use my power. You doing a great job on steemit. Cheers.

If that happens, everything will drop... This is a big mess and hopefully won't happen!
That`s exactly what I was thinking over the last few weeks. I think that their agenda is to crash the market with a outbreak of war somewhere soon.

Do you think slowly all the Country will ban the ICO?, Not sure though. China started, now Korea.
If ever they DO, then crypto markets will adapt, they will change things in the code so that they can abide by the new laws. And besides, suppose all countries decide to ban it, except for that new liberty country, and then everyone who has crypto does NOT get rid. Ar they going to put millions of people in jail? No, the costs will be way too high. Also, some governments might be banning ICOs but a lot of other governments may see profit where others do not. They will want in to benefit just like for mutual funds or anything else. I suspect that certain governments will adapt and develop a process that will make having crypto more "legit according to their terms". Plus, new Cryptos will be coded to fit with new laws, and there will always be new cryptos into which one can invest. They can't stop us, they can't stop crypto. They are trying, but the signs are there,: they deny your existence, then they ignore you, then they attack you, then you win. They are attacking crypto. After years of pretending it didn't exist and it was nothing, they are deliberately making crypto look bad and trying to stop people from investing in it. The future can seem scary at times, but things aren't as bleak as "they" would like us to think.
Wow, nice explanation. But only thing concern here is so much scam, if they regulate it for good. Than that will be the best thing can happen for cryptos.
Great response to the question. Thank you for that. Overall this will only lead to a better regulation which is actually good so only legit projects take place. In my opinion, this will lead to a better stability, adoption and therefore increase in the value of the most successful projects and currencies.
Exactly. Right now Crypto is still new and alien to many. As the blockchain grow, it will become better organised and that's always a good thing. Usually.
I am from Korea, and I can't believe how Korea can have such a major effect on cryptocurrency market. It is still on the rise gradually, still believing in steem and the rest of crypto world.
I believe like with China this will only be temporary until they regulate the market which in the end will have a positive effect!
