RE: Congrats To The Latest Whale To Delegate To a Bid Bot

I personally think straight curation percentages are too simplistic. I think it should be an algorithm based on the rewards you receive, to encourage people to find good posts by users not often rewarded well. This would discourage the current tendency for some to just upvote people that always get upvotes. They would get a lower curation on posts that are made by people that always get $100 upvotes...so why add fuel to the fire? Even though it's guaranteed rewards. It would be a bit more of a gamble, but they might actually make more curation rewards following a curation trail or similar.

It's a start. An n^1.3 reward curve was proposed alongside the 50:50 reward ratio. Left for the community to actually give an ear to those who've been warning us about this flaw and have long predicted the lack of leadership and direction at Steem Inc.

Yeah, it would be better for curators. Curation rewards currently are rather pathetic. But I think it would make the slight problem of people voting for those that get almost guaranteed rewards worse. If, however, they got the same rewards, or perhaps even slightly lower ones, for such upvotes, they would not be encouraged, and would in fact be discouraged.

So I agree that the reward system needs to be changed...but I don't agree with the proposed change that is so often given, of 50/50. 50/50 might be good for the upper level. Perhaps even as high as 60%, for those with the lowest of rewards.

Curation of actually good content is rather difficult...they should get a higher reward for that hard work.
