Be Smart - Join Steemit - Be yourself on STEEM Blockchain

Be Smart, what that means? Among other answers, we could say that being smart means also being able to use your time in a smart way... If you are a social media user, then you spend a lot of time consulting your platform isn't? Well, it is, let's talk true, you are addicted to your favorite social media. This addiction consumes a significant part of your mental and physical (consequently) potential. Meanwhile, it's probable that you have never thought about taking back something of what you have already offered to the provider of your social media universe. Because you offered a lot of power and a lot of money to the network that socializes you, you offered your data, your personality, your thoughts, and your everyday life details... you gave your soul, practically to some online centralized virtual entity and you got back as a reward the full control of your life on Earth by this entity that you worship... Is this being smart? You share your personal data for free, thus you empower whom he controls every single moment of your everyday life... You go somewhere with your friends and family? Here are the selfies, there are the details of what you eat, what you drink and discussed... check in is called no? Do you leave the feast? Nice! You check out, isn't? Everything seems to be perfect for you, you can repeat the ritual, again and again, you pay nothing for that, it's free isn't? Yes, it is free, and you are the product... (consequently). Do you think that is a smart goal to strive to be the product? I mean, you like to be consciously a product, to be the voluntarist fighting for your life seller's prosperity? Why don't you try to think about this fact? Because it is a fact! It is a reality within the virtual world of centralized social media that has been proved, judged, condemned... but it still happens, and you are still attached to this global dark network that has the power to dictate you even the way you are farting... is it too loud? Sanctioned! Is it too silent? Well, if not a smelly one, you are following the norms, continue to serve the centralized cause! But in the unfortunate case of a detected annoying smell your account is suspended, no bad smells allowed within the sterilized environment of centralized social media... etc. etc.

Participating in a decentralized social media experiment such as steemit.com, might be the milestone on the road to your online evolution. Exploring the potential of decentralized social media might influence your everyday life. Receiving rewards for your content is giving value to your activity. At the same time, you become more responsible for what you produce. Decentralized social media environment might not be for free! Yes, don't run away please, you are not asked to pay for participating, you are asked to invest your time, your ideas that you are not able to realize, because of lack of funds. You are invited to invest your creativity.

Don't be confused, it's not about the diary of your everyday life, it's about your creativity and the will to be real, to be yourself and evolve freely within a social media environment, as the owner of your blog, your page, your work... Don't let yourself to be trapped into centralized entities, in reality, these virtual cafeterias are not connecting you, these so-called "social media" are disconnecting you, these mechanisms of control are creating the illusion of the "social" part and web technology is covering the "media" part. In reality, social media cannot be centralized entities, otherwise, we have to do with the secular scheme of the dictatorship. If the boss doesn't agree, if your opinion is not accorded to a strict policy applied without exception and, of course, without asking you, if you criticize the status of any centralized platform, you are punished, it's at least what happens and cannot be hidden.

We arrived hopefully on June 3rd, we are still alive! The game-over is probably postponed, Voice did not shout so loudly to crack the foundation of our platform! Perhaps, the Voice became throaty, for shouting many days, announcements of its advent, and forecasting the imminent death of Steemit. Well, it's a temporary happy-end for Steemians, I guess... and it's time to promote STEEM blockchain and its applications, utility, benefits, etc. Let's do it! Steemit on!!!

Thank you for your attention!

I wish a great success to the new social media Voice, it's one more step towards the mass adoption of the cryptoeconomy! Social media on the top of decentralized networks are the main gate for people to understand and fully adopt the cryptos. Voice might become a giant, this doesn't mean that other similar platforms will die, there is no space for this mindset in the crypto-universe. There is collaboration, consensus, innovations coming up from this collaboration and consensus... This is a process that cannot be stopped nor corrupted thanks to the technology. Rivalry in the world of decentralized communities is not the rule by default. Everything you need to create is based on open knowledge... Antagonism and monopolies are the main reason for the poverty created in the real traditional economy. This financial mindset and ethics cannot be functional in a decentralized economic system... If a decentralized social media is dying it's rather suicided than killed by some ruthless rival...

People are rarely themselves when there is a potential to earn monetary rewards, or to miss out on them, attached to who they present themselves to be. Just saying -

Hello, @lordless.exile thanks for your comment! It's a good opportunity to offer another point of you. Humans are rarely themselves just because what they are is what the situations and the need want them to be. Joe is not the same Joe when talking with his boss, his wife, his children, his mistress, his neighbor, his pub friends, etc. Joe is by default a different Joe when interacting with all other Joes, either because of culture or tradition either because social hierarchical reasons etc. Being yourself is an art for whom tries to be in the real life socialization. In the web based social media things goes different. Let's see an example: I have a friend in the other side of the globe who is married, has a child and his monthly payed salary is maximum 150 dollars (the equivalent in local currency). For these 150 dollars per month he must work up to 12 hours per day for 6 days (Sunday only day off). He must smile for up to 12 hours to everybody even to persons that basicly hates, he must say always "thank you sir" even if this "sir" spits on him... he cannot be himself if he wants to be payed in real life and economy. This friend happen to create an account here (let's say) and as he is a talented content creator, after a few months and some people he met online and helped him a bit, he finally makes some 50 dollars per month being an active member of our community. Cool isn't? He makes here the one third of what he makes working 12 hours per day in his real economy, and it's not all! The greatest advantage is that here he is himself! He is in underwear, old socks and a can of beer, in front of his laptop and he composes... No need fake smiles, dress code, being somebody else for making these precious pennies per month... At least my friend is more himself as a Steemian than as worker in some Hotel in a state with poor economy. In fact the human is himself when he/she can choose freely what and how to be, and in the real life this is very difficult to realize. Usually artists are themselves just because they are artists and their extravagant profile attracts more fans (who cannot be themselves and need the idol for covering their lack of personality or their oppressed nature) Finally in many cases being or not yourself has nothing to do with money. Let's take the example of some homosexual who lives in a country where the law condemns homosexuals to death. Obviously this person cannot be himself and this is not a question of money. Instead this homosexual might talk freely in a web based social media using a simple username, so there are more chances for him to be himself in, let's say Steemit, than in some real cafeteria outhere, and this is not involving any money or any kind of reward. If I can be always myself interacting in real life then social media is dead... As about the reward question, there is something to point: observing how people manage money and rewards, show us a very deep and real view of any character. Usually people can hide their badass side, but when it comes to money most of people cannot control reflexes that betray them. The way that somebody manages its money shows a lot and says more about his/her character. We can be ourselves in front of money only when we know that there is no way to ever have this money. If we feel we can get the money then everything change and it is either some other personality that we promote (in order to get the reward or simply the money) either some of the very bad guy we hide deep inside us. In both cases our attitude shows who we really are, to others and to ourselves...
Well, everything is relatif, there is no perfect situation but the essential is that being here, writing, replying, interacting, having fun and be rewarded wearing my pyjamas, farting and eating tuna salad is... myself, I am myself right now as I cannot be if I want to reply live in real life... Oh... Wrote too much I guess... and it's too late here... That was spontaneous Alien thoughts inspired by your comment!!! Thanks a lot!!! Have a nice and creative day. 🙏🍻

I love your energy. And, I agree with all you said. I was thinking when I wrote my message, that people tend to be someone other themselves a lot of the time.

Hello @lordless.exile thanks again for your very inspiring comment and reply!!! Thanks a lot for your nice words too!!! Energy... Well, I think it's all about passion and will... But, this is one more topic that could launch the syndrome of writing - mania in my Alien skull... I'll write something about in some next post. You see, today I'm in a mood that waste my energy, and I'm trying to control it... Thus a lot of energy wasted... Thanks always, have a nice Wednesday and great posts! 🙏🍻😀
