I think it's the market keeping us down and steem in itself is fine, hopefully we bottom again and bounce back stronger past $1. Steem Media Tokens and an upgrade is coming soon, I'm powering up as much as possible.
Gonna give Partiko a try.
Yeah, I'm pretty strongly of the belief that steem has an awesome future. My biggest worry at the moment is trying to find some fiat to invest and power up while the price is so low. SMT's are gonna be a huge game changer.

changecrypto lolRegarding Partiko, I like it to follow along while i'm away from home. The notifications are great, letting you know when votes or comments come in. Really helps with engaging on posts. The 0.12 vote on this post cost me nearly 5000 partiko points, which took a long time to acumulate. But I find it really handy. I can still steem while on my lunch break at work.
Hey boss, don't think we have crossed paths. I have only started using partiko and got around 3000 points can you choose if you don't want the upvote and lost of points? Is that possible? Not sure if I'm diggin the notifications I use Ginabot and she writes it much nicer than a small notifications. Just my two cents
Yeah you get a choice of if and when, and how many Partiko points you use when you put a post. Its pretty flexible. I agree, Ginabot is a champ at notifications, but I like knowing whats going on when away from my PC. I don't have discord on my phone so it works for me. I think you can now turn notifications off with Partiko (or at least some of them). This is a sign of the good things going on around steem... Choices.

I like that there seems to be less pressure on posting, I get that it started as a blogging platform, but with all the new projects going on, Steem will/ or really is evolving. Some may not like the new style and wish to leave, but that will bring others who do like the less strict judgement.. I just hope we can find a happy balance between the two, there is enough room for everyone I believe, each person adds their own value... even if it's not appreciated by all.
Totally agree, I find that if I wait till I have something brilliant to write about, I don't earn much. This post was a spur of the moment thing, to try out something, and express a few quick thoughts. I took 15 mins to write on my phone. However, it has created more interaction than most of my more thought out, planned "quality" posts.
I think because instead of an article or a blog, it's more of a relatable, quick but straight to the point post. So times content can be great but you get lost in the padding.
Either way, nice little experiment. 😉
I wouldn't worry so much about quality standards. Whenever I see that, I read it as: "Don't post meaningless memes and please post more than one sentence. And post your own work! Don't re-hash an article you read without adding your opinion to it." ~ I post fiftyword stories sometimes... they probably aren't "quality" in some people's eyes, but I spend a good couple of hours trying to craft them, they're my own work, and they're more than one sentence with a few of my thoughts after the fact. Therefore, to an ordinary person's standards, they're quality content.

I don't mind this low dollar. I can finally power up my account! I can't throw thousands at it like I see some people doing, but $50 here and there... every little bit helps.
Yup, if I had spare $$ I would definitely buy in now. However, I may not even be here if I had spare money, as I came to steem because I was desperately looking for another source of income. "Quality" is a subjective thing, and as they say "one mans trash is another's treasure". With all the dapps coming out, more and more people will be able to find the niche that suits them. I am learning to stress less about making sure my posts are "quality", and focus more on improving my engagement and interaction with people that do visit my posts.
