Steem is a new social paradigm which exists not only because it's a blockchain based media but mainly because of the function of the influence tokens. Here are some weird quirks of having Steem Power!😉

1- Influence:

Having some Steem power on here is like having candy! The ants will follow you. In other words you are a flower with sweet nectar. Bees will flock to you. When you don't share they will sting you though!😂

When you have some Steem power, people will write your names from the top of the trending page to the lowest valleys of minnowrish steeming! Girls will write you love letters and men will kiss your hands like the queen (depending on your gender).

Also many people especially in developing countries will pray for you on a daily basis. They will put you in their fasting just for you to earn more and vote them more. Talk about indirect selfishness😂😂.

2- Power:

When you talk people stop and listen. Even Bernie will give a fuck about you. Why? Because you matter in some way towards the growth of this network.

The more you earn, the more powerful you become. When you announce a project, it automatically hits trending page. Everyone is so happy with you and ready to kiss your ass by telling you how good your posts are even when they suck.

Then you begin to feel untouchable, unflaggable, indomitable! You have every right to be right? No! You don't. You may even decide to become a traitor. Flag anyone at will. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

3- Friends!:

Friends come with influence and power. This therefore means that you will attract people like you around you. Whales like you will follow you and Upvote your posts so they can also get a piece of your own pie. You earn more eventually!

Some people may call that circle-jerking but for you it's nothing more than living in a world of the high and mighty. You don't need to care about anyone nor even help anyone. They will come to you.

Your wallet will be full of memos and monies from people trying to befriend you by giving you free gifts. Coincidentally people judge you by your steem power alone so you have all the liberty to do nothing.

This may sound like a satire but it bears the truth at heart. I know deep in my heart that we will all be whales someday. And when you become one, please don't be like this!

Help people! Give something to those who deserve it not just your whale friends who don't need it anyway. Everything you do mustn't be for your own good. Do something for others without expecting anything in return.
