STEEM: The Blockchain of Immortality!!!!

in #steem6 years ago

The next decade is going to see radical advancements in many technologies. We are already starting to see some of the potential impact blockchain is having on established companies, especially those in the financial arena. In my estimation, we will see 3D printing at the same point in another 18-24 months. Beyond that, we will see quantum chemistry somewhere around the middle of the next decade.

All the while, Artificial Intelligence is progressing. Please bear in mind that AI is a general term akin to technology. There are many subcategories of AI such as machine learning, voice recognition, deep learning, neural networking, and image recognition. All these areas are forming a convergence that has the potential to uplift human capabilities.

One area that we see a lot of money starting to flow is in the field of human longevity. This is a move that really is coming out of the Silicon Valley people. It is amazing the outlook of a bunch of people have who made billions before they turned 30. They believe they can solve any problem.

Ironically, many in the field are putting bio-technology in the same category as informational technology. They believe biology is nothing more than code and if we can understand the code, we can re-write it for different results. Thus far, even though a ton of progress was made in the field, little change happened. We still are at the point where people are dropping dead of old age and that is not going to change anytime soon.

However, some recent developments are entering trials which could assist us in living longer. With the impending Age of Abundance, immortality certainly looks a great deal more appealing. For many, even today, life is filled with drudgery. That is the design of the scarcity system. It is often a blessing when someone passes on. This sad fact is taking on another meaning as a whole generation of older people in the western countries spend their golden years struggling financially.

In short, the world is not a pretty place to spend eternity.

Of course, the view of a multi-billionaire tends to reflect something different from the rest of us. To them, little is off limits. They can go where they want, when they want, and pretty much do what they want. If it was invented, they can afford it. This makes the world a different form of entertainment than the rest of us are accustomed to.

I feel that is all changing. Tokenization is the first part of this paradigm shift. We are going to see creations over the next decade that benefit all of humanity. Open source is going to be the norm. I am not sure how many more decades money, as an entity, actually will exist. Within 50 years, I surmise we will be rid of it as a central piece of our lives. So much of our physical world will be digitized that we will see massive reductions in cost. Most everything you can think of will either be free or near free.

Now consider if you have the life of a billionaire in the sense that the world is your playground. Perhaps, with this viewpoint, sticking around a bit longer is more appealing than it is today. Over the next few decades, if present course holds, we should see advancements that will add 20-50 years to the lives of people. In addition, we will not be the old, rundown version of ourselves but actually have "turned back the clock" some. Some have the goal of making 100 the new 40.

What are your thoughts on this topic? Immorality always captured the imagination of humans. The "fountain of youth" dates backs thousands of years. Of course, if you look at the age people lived in the past, having a life of 70-80 years is a huge leap. It was only a few hundred years ago where 40 was ancient.

With our technological advancements we should be able to continue the eradication of diseases. There are some who are seeking to term aging as a disease. With this outlook, they feel it is something that can be slowed, if not cured.

Personally, I would love to live another 100 healthy years. It is so exciting what is starting to take place that I would love to stick around for it. Being the age I am, this would blast me past the believed physical life limit of 120. Fortunately, I have many decades before I get to that point so there will be radical advancements over the next half century.

Are there any developers out there who want to partner with me on a project? I am thinking we need an immortality application with a SMT.

I bet that makes this a top 5 blockchain.

My idea that blockchain technology will boost Artificial Intelligence progress is completely wrong? Or is that a viable and very likely situation?

AI and blockchain will go hand in hand.

Blockchain will be the mechanism where the decision tree for AI is housed as an example.

They are complimentary technologies.

I really like that thinking, and I completely agree with you!! :D

Particularly I think that because of my age I have been able to see great changes in humanity, which I tell my grandchildren and they do not believe it. And I lived them. I was there. I saw the change from the kerosene kitchen to the gas one, to the electric one and those that come. I saw the vinyl record, the cassette, the compact disc, the mp3, mp4. I am now witnessing this change of paradigm that means living within the vision of the cryptocurrency and I would love to see everything that comes, but above all understand it fully. I love this abundance and assume that way, maybe I also have an abundance of years. My grandmother for example at my age was in a more dramatic condition, just like my mother. It would be necessary for people to understand this so that they give more value to the elderly. Greetings.

It is not so long ago, just 25 years, having a phone in pocket was like an imagine. But not now we combined the phones with cameras and internet. And we have started to pay with our phones... Too much to say but you explained very well dear @taskmaster4450
But i want to add that, with technological improvement the defination of money has changed. For payments we dont even need "the papers" maybe in future we wont need money for our payments.

a whole generation of older people in the western countries spend their golden years struggling financially.

You remind me of an interaction I had years ago with an older lady working at CVS. I jokingly said something like "I plan to live forever" and her response was borderline disgust.

My mom has also expressed multiple times that she wouldn't want to live for a very long time. The drudgery of life is much more visible on the ones who've experienced it longest.

However, I think dying is a mainstay of evolution. If you have thousand year old vampires running around sucking down all the resources that could get bad pretty fast.

When you're young your brain acclimates to your environment and you're stuck in the same loops for the rest of your life. Already people live long enough to feel like they don't belong. I've even taught a course one time to teach older people to use Facebook and their iPhones. With technology advancing exponentially it's only going to get worse.

change is the only constant in life and death is one of the changes. in many ways, immortality is already assured because the internet will remember you forever.

what i would want to do and what actually happens are two different things!!

i am sure that mankind will extend lives with cloning organs, bio engineering and exoshells. i personally prefer to be closer to nature. in nature it decides how long you live based on resource requirements.

just imagine, it is no longer survival of the fittest. it is survival of the richest. they will have resources, access to medical technology, buy organs and game the system.

but i sincerely doubt that living longer leads to more achievement. if it is one thing history has shown us, the candle that burns the brightest burns the shortest.

Longevity and even Immortality are real things that human beings can do, it's a measure of our current ages ignorance that we disbelieve so heavily in these things. The body has an amazing regenerative capacity that we can tap into. It has nothing to do with technology or outside interference, it's an innate ability.

The current human lifestyle, by in large is so completely toxic that it's no wonder our bodies are degrading so fast. Even so, people are living longer than even - you could say that our DNA is passively becoming more efficient.

In terms of what we can do to live longer, well completely changing out diets and moving down to the raw vegan end of the spectrum. Ultimately going to the pranic living lifestyle, which is nourished 100% by the basic life energy, or close to it. Taking the diet to this point cleanses the body completely, that's one part of it. The second part is to deprogram our limiting beliefs which cause us to drop in energy, fall ill, and eventually die. We all know about the placebo affect, this is like the tip of the iceberg for how our mind and beliefs directly affect our body and reality.

We live in a time of unprecedented ignorance and dis empowerment, so it's likely people resent this kind of talk, and call me a nutcase for suggesting it. The fact of the matter is, people only know their own bias and tiny little slice of reality. There's actually a great deal of evidence for pranic living, longevity, and even immortal yogis who can do things like dematerialize their body.

I share your enthusiasm for the future @taskmaster4450, yet my particular perspective is that much of our great advancements will come directly from the field of consciousness, as more and more individuals become examples of our true potential.

Thank you for doing STEEM - better. Good luck to you and Love.
