We have heard many positive comments about the great experience you had with SteemFest 2 in Lisbon. Now we have a chance for you to let your voice be heard about what you liked, what you would like to change, and more. @roelandp, our host and Master of Ceremonies for Room 1 will be meeting with me, the Master of Ceremonies for Room 2. We are planning to compare notes, think about what we liked, what we want to change, what we want to add for next year, etc.

It would be GREAT to get feedback from those of you who attended. It would also be GREAT to hear form those of you who didn't attend and what you would like to see at our next SteemFest (probably called SteemFest 3 --- pretty clever of me to figure that out, huh???). 😜

So, here's your chance. We are meeting

Monday Morning 20 November

so you have to act FAST. Please leave your comments below. Don't hold back,. Let us know positives, areas to improve, areas to add that you'd love to see, and more.

We look forward to hearing from you and making next year's SteemFest 3 even better.

I subscribed to your YouTube channel I watched the Jerry banfield lecture that you posted. Steem on amigo!

Thank you very much for that, @theoccultcorner. Glad you like the videos. If you have any topics you'd like to see addressed, please let me know and I might be able to crank one out for you. Thank you for stopping by to visit.

wow, such an Amazing post. Thanks for all @terrybrock.

You bet. Thank you, @irfanullah for your comments. Any ideas on what you'd like to see for next year's SteemFest 3?

sir i want next steemfest in Middle east (Dubai)!

Dubai? You live in Dubai? What a wonderful city! I've been there several times and absolutely LOVE it! Dubai, and for that matter, much of the rest of the UAE, could teach all of the world some important lessons. I can't wait to get back there many times. The best part of the whole place, aside from the fabulous buildings and opportunities (which are great) is the people. I've met some of the nicest and smartest people in the world there. Lucky you, @irfanullah! Enjoy Dubai and I hope to get back there sometime soon.

yes sir @terrybrock i am living in UmmulQuwain UAE but Dubai is very near to me. I have many times visited this beautiful city. You are most welcome! Please save my cell phone number. You must informed me when you will come to Dubai. Cell & whatsapp: 00971529166425

Well, I am still amazed at how awesome the event was. Roeland and team, just outstanding. And Terry, I enjoyed overhearing a lot of speaking advice you gave out. I'm actually looking into Toast Masters as I am a horrible public speaker.

I suspect next year's attendee list will be larger and will probably require a venue(s) capable of a convention. A previous commenter mentioned Dubai which would be interesting. However, perhaps it's time to have it in the US? An inexpensive city for those around the world to fly to is Orlando. If you check fares from just about anywhere, you'll discover it to be one of the cheapest if not THE cheapest. ( I think Disney has a hand in that perhaps ). There are many hotels that could accommodate Steemfest3 and offer a turn key solution for such an event. The new International terminal should be done any day and I suspect for a year or so the fares from international destinations will even be cheaper.

I have to agree with you whole heartedly, @noboxes. However, I will admit to my bias --- I live in Orlando and love it. I chose to live here long ago because of those reasons you cited and many others. Yes, I would love to see Orlando as the site. Hey, I'd save a lot on airfare alone! Plus we'd have to figure out a way to have a party here, but that is another issue! :-)

Thank you for your comment. Out of curiosity, where do you live?

We have just recently returned to Northern Idaho after living in Southern Chile for 4 years. We call Coeur d'Alene, ID home.

I honestly had no idea you lived in Orlando when I made that suggestion, by the way.

Coeur d'Alene is a beautiful place. I've been there a few time for meetings and loved it. Yes, interesting that you'd say Orlando in your earlier comments. Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to chatting again.

Humm, steemfest, sounds interesting but don't really know what is all about. Can someone explain to me?

Good question, @maxibyte. It was the big meeting a few days ago about Steemit and where it is going. Check out SteemFest.com and you'll see a lot of info about it.

I had an amazing time, great to meet you Terry, inspired by your work online, and much more inspired by you in person!! not much to fault about stemfest, it was incredibly slick! A positive criticism i have heard around the platform is the following, it does not necessarily reflect my views, but i think it is an important point: It would be good to get an estimate for the cost of steemfest. if you look at steem as a business, can it justify the money spent on steemfest from a value creation point of view? Can we even measure this? (i.e. value spent vs value created). A lot of powering down happened in order to pay for steemfest, we should not be looking to encourage powering down on such a large scale in order to pay for the fest. Can or should costs be cut for steemfoest while still securing the same value creation at the event? I dont know the answer or have an opinion on this matter. I would however, like to see steemfest coming up with a tangible, practical way to measure this and justify the spending and powering down for the fest

Here's a quick video I just put together in answer to your post.

Terry, I had a massive smile all the way through this :)) nice to see you, and what a great background! I am sure we dont have a problem either. I am not sure if you are following our progress at promo-steem, but 2 of the blogs below summarize what we are doing next. one is a proposal blog with several key points for us to implement. and the other is a video discussion with andrarchy on his thoughts about how to move forward. it has given us a lot of direction and focus and looks like the future of promo-steem is going to be pretty great!
PROPOSAL
DISCUSSION WITH ANDREW

Really would be great to work with you on these or anything else you have in mind. I willkeep you posted as to our progress. Maybe we need to have a chat to see where our teams, skills, networks etc. line up??

Great idea. I'm thinking a Zoom video call would be in order. Let's connect over on Steemit.Chat and we can set something up for next week or soon thereafter. We're now in major Thanksgiving Holiday mode here in the States and it is one of the most wonderful times of the year! Whoo Hoo! Great to hear from you, Matt!

Thanx for sending this over. I look forward to reviewing that. Yes, let's stay in touch. All the best to you!
