Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

Instead of trying to be thoroughly comprehensive (and then end up not publishing) like we have before, we have only included the most recent contests (skipping duplicates). If we missed yours, feel free to share it in the comments for our readers to find, and to stop by our Discord server to post it in the contests channel.
Enrollment
If you want to get involved, or to increase the share of basic income that you receive, enrollment is pretty straightforward:
Just send 1 STEEM to @steembasicincome. Include the name of a Steemian to sponsor in the transaction memo (preceded by @). You and the person you sponsor will each receive 1 share in the program. You can sponsor any active Steemian, it does not have to be a current member.

The official currency for enrollment is STEEM. We are not currently accept SBD for enrollments. The current delay on enrollment processing is 5-6 days. We are working to catch this up as quickly as possible, but of course we need to do important things like posting updates and contest lists!

Thanks @steembasicincome still very happy with your service. I'm wondering if my latest purchase of 21 shares was processed correctly? I noticed a 40% drop in upvote value after I thought my shares were added which I found to be weird :P
Probably just a matter of weird calculations I don't understand.
We have been actively rebalancing inactive members out of the pools and promoting up members with more shares. That means any individual member's total percentage in some pools may sometimes decline quickly. This will be offset by increased SP as we get our new orders in and keep bringing SP up to target levels for each pool.
I am not happy with the decline in my up-vote numbers lately either @steembasicincome ... especially since I have been sponsoring additional members or shares for past members on a regular basis through our 'Writing Contest'...Please check your allocations to this endeavor.
Your voting weight was increased in the pool 1 rebalance yesterday.
Please be mindful that we are managing over 3000 active voting rules, using tools that don't scale well. We are working to get a new development team together to get automation back on track, but it takes time.

I have 8 shares and I started upvoting @steembasicincome with 100% two weeks ago. I post twice a day and I am receiving $0.01 per post. Isn't there a mistake on the upvote value?

Your upvote bonus has only built up to 40%. It will continue to grow over the next two weeks.
A secondary factor is that the value of upvotes on Steem is down across the board, because the STEEM price is so low right now.
That was 9 days ago and I continue receiving $0.01 per post. I insist that there is something wrong with the value. If I had one share and did not upvote I would be receiving the same $0.01, I think.
You have 8 shares and a bonus of 80%. Thats 14 shares in total.
Each share gets 0.009 usd per week.
14 x 0.009 = 0.126 usd
You post 14 times a week
0.126 / 14 = 0.009 usd
There isn't fault you are getting the correct amount. If you want a larger upvote you need to do one of two things
Buy more shares
Post less frequently
You have 8 shares and a bonus of 80%. Thats 14 shares in total.
Each share gets 0.009 usd per week.
14 x 0.009 = 0.126 usd
You post 14 times a week
0.126 / 14 = 0.009 usd
