The husband is the head of the household and as the head of the home he should pray for his family, look after his wife and children, treat the woman as the word says, otherwise his prayers will be a hindrance.

1 Peter 3: 7 Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)

You, husbands, equally, live with them wisely, giving honor to the woman as the weakest vessel, and as co-heirs of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered.

If a husband cares for his children, he is doing well, but he treats his wife with aspersions, his prayers do not reach the feet of God because the bible says that his prayers will stumble. In the same way, women should be subject to our husband and respect him because in this way we please God.
