The WORD becomes Flesh in us.

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

If we look closely the Word that became flesh is speaking of Jesus. He is the Word! He is the Truth, He is the Life and the Way

Heb 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.

In every Book in the Bible you can find Jesus. It is all about Him. In Him everything consists.

THE WORD IS TO BECOME FLESH IN US

I took this photo yesterday with my Huawei Nova 2i. The beautiful Philippines.

My Father was a carpenter and was always building, even on our own house. Whenever he was building a wall, rafters or floor joists, he would cut the first board and write on it “PAT” for pattern. Every board would be cut from a mark from using the pattern. If you had 20 studs, they were all matched to the one unique pattern. If you cut one board, and then another and each time using the one cut before for the pattern, by the time you got to the 20th board, that board would be very different than the first. Usually longer! With each successive board the next would be even more different than the first.

Jesus our Pattern

WE ARE TO STRIVE IN FAITH TO NE EXACTLY LIKE HIM!

We are not to pattern our life after someone else who is following Jesus. We are to pattern ourselves after the Original Pattern

I used to shoot a lot of bow and arrow or archery. When you shoot, the smallest target would produce the smallest miss. If you picture a target with the “Bullseye” in the middle, That bullseye coukd be 3 or 6 inches in diameter and the entire target 36 inches or greater. If you aim at the entire target, you may miss the target all together. If you aim for the bullseye, you are most likely going to hit the target somewhere. But if you imagine a tiny spot 1/4 inch in diameter, right in the middle of the bullseye and challenge yourself to hit that tiny spot...with practice you can hit the bullseye most every time.

The Bullseye in my story represents the life and character of Jesus. To be like Him is to hit the mark.

The definition of sin according to Strongs

SIN
ἁμαρτάνω
hamartanō
ham-ar-tan'-o
Perhaps from G1 (as a negative particle) and the base of G3313; properly to miss the mark (and so not share in the prize), that is, (figuratively) to err, especially (morally) to sin: - for your faults, offend, sin, trespass.

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

We may never be exactly like Jesus, but this is our goal and the will of God. We will definitely get closer to our goal by patterning our life directly after the “MASTER PATTERN”, Jesus Himself.

Php 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Php 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

MY PRAYER IS THAT THE WORD WOULD BECOME FLESH IN ME.

As Folloers of Christ, we should be growing more and more experientially like Jesus. Confirmed to His Image! Not a copy of a copy. But like Jesus, using Him as our goal, our target and our pattern.

Mat 10:24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
Mat 10:25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord

It doesn’t matter where we started out. Prayerfully study the Word of God and this Word will change you and I from the inside out. We can and will take on the character and attributes of Jesus.

Thank you for your time!
Blessings!
Daddy William

It reminded me to look up...The definition of sin according to the Bible, I found this...

1 John 3:4 "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."

I agree. The Bible also says if we kniw the good we should do and do it not, it is sin. Plus whatever is not of faith is sin. My reference is the original language definition of the word sin in Romans 3:23.

I am unfamiliar with "the original language definition" can you explain that please? I don't understand what you mean by it!

We are to see Jesus always as our role model and pattern which will guide us as how to live
