Announcement // I Am a Keynote Speaker for the Steem Creators Conference and SMT Summit in Toronto!
Hi Friends!
I am incredibly excited to announce that I will be a keynote speaker at the upcoming Steem Creators Conference and SMT Summit in Toronto this September.
I had such a fantastic time connecting with fellow steemians and speaking at the Steem Creators Conference in Las Vegas earlier this year. I can't wait to meetup with my friends again and get to connect with some new faces! I'm really hoping this conference attracts a lot of the east coast crowd because I would love to hang out with you guys in person!
I am so honored that @steemcafe not only asked me to come back as a speaker - but to fill a keynote role. It is a huge honor and I am thrilled to consider myself part of the Steem Creators family! <3

Sooo, things I would personally love to hear you speak about is how to present yourself on Steem. You are amazingly authentic and I believe that is part of the root of your success and would love to see more of that on the platform so yeah, teach that lol

I have to say, your comment really has me thinking. My first impression is that you can't really teach people to be authentic on camera (to other people) if they aren't truly authentic with themselves. I'm not saying people are intentionally in-authentic, but you can often feel the difference of someone who has worked through some of that and is at more of a sense of ease with themselves. I could be wrong, but i'll have to think about that more.

Maybe teach them that is okay to be authentic, or be aware of how they are are putting themselves out there. So many have their social masks on
I know what you mean though, is a loaded question with a rabbit hole attached to it bearing the question of "who am I really."
I'm sure whatever you talk about will be amazing, I got a lot out of your last speech

I have to say... you have successfully had my mind pre-occupied with this all day. hehe
I think the hard thing is that many people don't even know they are putting on social masks. The next question - is that are the reasons different for each person, or are there common threads that can be strung together to help most people see those masks?
Considering your experience with LoA and the fact that you are super grounded in who you are - I may pick your brain on this more sometime. ;)

Whatever you are inspired to create will be amazing, no doubt about it. I'll take on the authentic self in my talk 😋

I felt very honored that I got to design the @steemcreators logo, @steemcafe was kind enough to offer to give me a couple tickets for the event, I wish I was able to go, next year for sure! I agree, the connection I have made already in these 2 months is amazing, a real feeling of community and friendship. Talk about your work ethic and why you do this at the conference. I really need to utilize steepshot more. I'm excited for you.
I wish you could join too!! It's okay - there will be plenty more conferences in the future. Thanks for the feedback on topics for my talk. I think I have 45 mins to an hour...so I am definitely looking for inspiration as I start mapping that time out.

Oooh yes!! I don't usually find myself in SLC - but maybe we'll have a Steem Creators Conference there someday?? Who knows! It's a great city for that sort of thing. :)

Congratulations Lea! I'm sure your presentation will be awesome again and I'm sure there will be tons of fun to be had there. Unfortunately, I probably won't be making it to Toronto but hopefully we can all meet up again at one of the other upcoming Steem Creators events... Cheers!!!
Sad you can't join, but I totally understand! You said you are taking your daughter to college that week right? That will be such a surreal moment for you guys!
It sounds like lots more conferences are in the Steem Creators future - so hopefully the next one will work out. :)
My son, he'll be heading to college a little before that but it's his birthday on the 6th and I have an annual photoshoot scheduled for that weekend, and other things going on... Anyway, yes, more Steem Creators fun to be had in the future I'm sure. Have a great day!
Sounds like a busy weekend! I'm sure there will be many more steem creators opportunities in the future! I selfishly keep pulling for a Seattle or Vancouver, CA conference because they are so close to me. haha
