RE: Any Other Salsa/Swing Dancers Going to Steemfest?
I take you for a merengue dance if you join me for a solo dance at A Night Of Steem :)

Oooh fun! I would love that! 😃
Woohoo!, Is that a yes? :-D
Now the challenge would be to find a place in Krakow where they play merengue (I'm not a good salsa dancer lol). Or I'll have to end up playing some Proyecto Uno on Friday at some point lol

There are a lot of modern songs that are actually meregues. A lot also are mambos. Meregue is quite simple. One of my favourites.
It's spelled 'merengue' @binkyprod. Thank you for the clarification :)
I agree it's simpler to dance than many other styles of Latin music, hence why I am kind of able to... Lol

lol thanks, that was a typo. Twice too. Double typo :p
Yup it's a simple enough dance for beginners. It's what we learnt first in our classes when I was in High School.
Haha indeed! Salsa though, I could never get how to move the hips while keeping shoulders in place! It requires some sort of alien skills :-P

Haha There are dances where the hips move very differently than some other ones. I remember spending hours with my teacher going very slowly to get the hips to move the way they should, and then lose it all the minute I went faster. I can still do it sometimes, VERY slowly lol
The good thing about dancing to electronic music is that there are no rules hehehe. I believe so much fun can be list when sing for doing it perfectly :) but maybe once you master the dance, it becomes natural, just like everything else.
Thanks for sharing your story @binkyprod
