Issue:

With the high consumption of meals away from home, plastic cutlery that is used only once is used. Thus achieving a large amount of waste, which are generally thrown down the street. This plastic takes many years to degrade, a problem for the environment.

Solution:

Disposable cutlery made with bioplastic, a material resulting from corn and vegetable mass.

Honestly I find some disposable cutlery beautiful and also friendly to the environment. Perfect.!

Features:

  • Beautiful design in the shape of vegetables and fruits.

A celery stem for example, serves as handle for the fork; a petal of artichoke then becomes the bowl of spoon.

Source

  • Completely biodegradable.

  • Printed in 3D. Which makes them more economical than conventional disposable cutlery.

These are so cute, that the question is:

After using them. Would you throw them in the trash?

If we look at the numbers affecting sea life dying because of the plastic, it's huge. There are some shopping stores which has quit using plastic bags to benefit the environment. Graft is a useful and green product for both our environment and sea life. Firstly this product will be reused many times and if it gets disposed of, it will not harm our locale.

Wow am impressive by this product mate...yes without doubt lots of cutlery are made with material that are hard to decompose thereby causing a huge problem for the environment when disposed. This will certainly change that

I see creativity here and love the idea of this product but are they of good quality? (yes they look it but still disposable) I know so many China products and their ways of catching their customers with beautiful designs but quality is missing. It's a nice product but personally I would use them to beautify my kitchen not for.......... (still using it but not the actual purpose)

YOU ARE VERIFIED.

This cuttlery looks really great, I absolutely love them and wouldnt wwnt to throw them out , lol! and the fact that its biodegradable and economically made in 3D is a major plus for me . im sure in the near future these will take over and they will stop producing plastic cutlery all together! great hunt !👍💁🍴

Awesome idea, we use far too much single use plastic in our everyday lives. Its also good that they are "Completely biodegradable" because they look edible, and when I am hungry if I accidentally on purpose eat my knife and folk I can just poop it out :D

First, they look awesome! Really like the design of them. Besides the fact I think it is the right direction and also it is pretty obvious it is better than use normal plastic cutlery this is still not the solution. Many people just have the wrong impression when using items like this. They are just not that environmental friendly like many people think and also they need a bunch of years to decompose completely.

This product is PLA bio-degradable plastic, which can decompose in 3-6 months (depending on moisture/conditions). It's also considered safe for use with foods.

The other type of "bio-degradable" plastic (which I think you're referring to) is ABS - which does take many years to decompose (and I don't think is safe for use with foods).

Thanks @Elleok...!
:) Regards....
Even though I'm upset with you: You beat me on SM last night ...!!!
LOL. Just kidding ... Thanks for reading ...!

Great solution that would reduce the problem of plastic pollution in our environment. Hopefully all plastic products would become biodegradable in the next few years

Chinese are amazing when it comes to such creativity. This is a clever thinking to shape the tableware like salad ingredients in a cheeky nod to the utensils’ biodegradable source material. Whether it gets accepted by the audience to replace the traditional cutlery or not, it still remains a very unique product.

Epic job @pialejoana.

Hunt is On

I think disposable table ware made of bioplastic has a great future. Just think about all the fast food chains and the gigantic waste that they are producing. If everything would be made out of bio plastic than the waste problem could be reduced significantly.
When I looked into the homepage I wanted to find the shop to buy some but unfortunately this was just a show case project. I don't know if somebody actually sells this tableware but on the HP you can't purchase it.
Also I think the Homepage hasn't been updated lately since the project began in 2013.
Good Hunt but too bad that this product can't be purchased!
