I usually check in a few times a day. I only spend a couple of second in the trending feed then spend the rest of my time in my feed and the "New" section. That way I can see the good stuff as it comes out, not just the most popular, and that's the reason why. I use a voting bot or two, myself. Some of these people, though, if it wasn't for their 30 bots, they wouldn't have a single vote. Lol
