You may rely on it

Of course.. i support steemit..

Because Steemit is mostly based around the concept of blogging and not really meant for social media engagement. But perhaps with the launch of SMTs there would be projects out there that will take on the concept of microblogging / social interactions like what FB has. Appics is known to be one of the first to be direct competition to instagram. So its the matter of time with SMT. Steemit will continue to have its niche.. Like how users are on reddit

No not for the now and for many reasons. Even if we believe this, it is not going to happen at the moment.

  1. The most people use Facebook for Business purpose. To promote their shops and sell their products.

  2. Facebook is strict when it comes to spam and blocking unwanted users.

I wont compare Steemit or Steepshot with Instagram, because we are more serious here. I mean I wont buy a new lipstick and add my photo after applying it to end up with 1000$ in my wallet. The concept is a bit different here and more better.

In Steemit we have other benefits too. We get paid for our content, we have more freedom. But there are still some issues that need to be sorted out. Such as Phishing, Spam, The misuse of selfupvote and Whales wars.

I’m not sure why Facebook should need to integrate with Steem(it).

Facebook’s strategy so far has rather been to buy potential competitors which could contribute to its growth and reach.

Integration is not a term Facebook understands and there’s no need why it should.

Facebook is geared at “connecting the world”, Steem for now is user generated content and that’s pretty much where things end.

Steem(it) is even not a competitor to Facebook. And it wouldn’t be too hard for Facebook to improve its tipping mechanic for streamers and roll out a Steem-similar approach to upvoting/liking. Facebook definitely has much more clout and can easily operate a much more valued token than Steem is now and will be in a foreseeable short-term future.

As we were about it earlier on... I believe that it is highly unlikely given that the interface is very different to Facebook. Facebook is more ofa general purpose social network and Steem at present is more of a blogging tool.
