Prostitution existed in the Ancient world, but not the way we have it today. Ancient Babylon, Greece, Egypt and the Romans. All of them had prostitution, but different from one country to another. At least in the Ancient world prostitutes were honored and respected. Now a days as you said they are forced and tortured. Finally rejected from the society and even their own families.
I think the people in our time are adopting more conservative approach towards others than people of ancient time had adopted. In ancient times even in India prostitutes were revered as 'nagar badhus' who were even honored by the kings. In our modern world we are going towards a society which is more conservative in nature while disguising itself as a modern society.
Yes exactly. Because these days every country wants to control people with the name of religion and money. We are modern and thats true, but only modern slaves :(
