RE: Leaving Steemit...for SteemPeak! And other interfaces...
I think given that a perfect model for what a user experience should be is ubiquitously present in the world of mainstream social media, we shouldn't still be launching multiple interfaces that do basically tthe same thing with a slightly different user experience.
This should be a done thing by now, settled. Now it's time to develop new usage concepts such as Dtube for videos, Dporn for porn, SteemSTEM for research, Dsound (or whatever) for music, stuff that wouldn't otherwise fit in the blanket 'facebook' of the blockchain.
If steempeak is missing AI, then steeve should fuse into steempeak. Steemchat should fuse into steempeak, and so on until you have a properly functioning social media site of the likes of things at leastt as recent as 2005
People like different things, so I think different interfaces can co-exist.
But...Steeve's main feature is just the addition of AI for related posts. Considering their interface is still incomplete, if their "competition" adds even a basic AI to help find posts, they might find that most would prefer to use those interfaces. I think they're behind even Steemit when it comes to interfaces. Not only is Steemit more complete, but it's interface is cleaner.
If Steemit had spent their time creating some form of post suggestions feature, they would likely not even exist.
Or just an intuitive way yto actually see what a person's page is actually about rather than a constant stream of posts. Like a way you can actually present your best work on your own front page either via 'pinning' or folders or a timeline chart you can click on certain dates or titles that interest you. I'm just sick of this 'infinite scroll' culture. My recent blogs are dumb shit basically, but I have some crazy amazing stuff in the past I'd love to feature on my front page tto show that it's 'what I do' here
Yeah, I think a way to pin posts or similar would be great. But an interface would have to actually be doing some form of development to make changes. :P
