They announced it a few months ago. It doesn't effect the other portals like SteemPeak or Partiko, and if you have AdBlock it blocks it on Steemit.

Ya that's about the time i heard the rumors. I don't know how to use adblock? Advice please?
Adblock Plus is a plug in if you're using Firefox - you can find it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/
Or you could just use steempeak.com, or if you're on mobile download the app Partiko, or use any of the numerous other Steem front ends like busy, esteem, etc.; I just don't know those ones personally. :)
