Technical Writers Wanted

At Steemit, we’ve been making a major push toward more transparency. We want to make sure that as many people as possible can gain a deep understanding of the various projects that we are working on as well as those being built by other Steem developers. But in order to do that, we need people who can speak both “Steem” and fluent English. Given the response to our last competition, we thought, “Why not do another one?” The prize for this competition could be a position working with us at Steemit!

Competition!

Using the comment section below please share a link to an article posted to Steem that you believe does an amazing job of eloquently explaining a highly technical aspect of the protocol. This can be a post written at any time (past, present, or future), by you or someone else. We’d love to see new articles written about something going on in github right now. Please make sure that all submissions have excellent grammar, spelling, and formatting in addition to compelling copy.

Please share links to the articles themselves (not just a username) so that we can quickly assess technical literacy and writing abilities.

We will continue to monitor the comment section over time, so keep leaving comments as you write or discover great new pieces of content and don't forget to upvote other high quality submissions. We’ll also give extra consideration to those comments that receive the most upvotes. Unfortunately, we can't promise we'll pick someone to work at Steemit, but we do promise to look at as many of the entries as possible for someone who might be able to meet our high standards for employment.

I've written a number of articles about Steem-in fact, I made a whole website about it.

Best practices for SMT distribution:

Also, an explanation of Resource Credits:

These are just two of my articles I've written about Steem, and I'm happy to share more, or you can see them all here.

You certainly would do an excellent job!!

Thank you! There are so many talented writers here so we'll see if I'm what they need.

Here's my article @steemitblog about how bitcoin works. Lesson 101 for any crypto fans:

How flagging effects rewards

https://steemit.com/fulltimegeek/@kabir88/if-you-want-to-understand-how-the-flag-wars-effect-your-rewards-look-at-these-diagrams-you-may-be-surprised-at-their-effect

You will have to excuse all the low ratings, I was stuck in a flagwar when I wrote those. A shame really, I thought they were good articles explaining complex topics simply!

@kabir88

And a new one!

https://steemit.com/steem/@kabir88/why-doesnt-your-reputation-get-out-of-the-negative-zone-remotehorst23-asks-here-s-the-answer

As a Language manager for Utopian and Tasteem supporter, I strongly recommend @kabir88 as a hardworking and dedicated person. I have no doubt that kabir88 will be a great asset to your project. He has a great personality and is an honest person.

I've learned a lot from his "How flagging effects rewards" article that leads me to become his follower. Albert Einstein once said, "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough". Kabir88 could interpret the whole complex technical and financial ideas behind the reward system on Steemit into a friendlier version for the vast majority to understand. Kabir88 is well known for his rightness and willing to stand for the right. He is a good citizen of Steemit.

Thanks @carlpei, whether I get to write for @steemitblog or not, you words of encouragement will help me to continue to produce informative and fun content here for the steem community!

@kabir88

@steemitblog I'm a big fan of @kabir88! He is a good egg.

@kabir88 I wish you luck with this endeavor, buddy!

Thank you @allseeingewe!

Damn, you beat me to it, was gonna drop this exact link, the one donkeypong wrote about smts...frankly I hardly kniw anyone who writes as eloquent as Tom

Thank you. Really.

Here is why Steem open social platform is the worst nightmare of established closed social systems such as #facebook, #youtube, #twitter:

and an older post:

Why distributed blockchains are more important than the Internet

also Waivio Whitepaper (introduction of objects on Steem blockchain):

And I am super excited to introduce concepts of Attention and Reference Trading on the upcoming SteemFest!

Lol - you know as well as I do that they are NOT interested in critical posts!

Nice dig though.

Good article that by KW.

Sensible entities are always open to criticism.

Shows great writing skills and knowledge of the protocol. Should be considered as contest entry.

Yes true...!

How is this relevant here? Ned has already addressed it in comments.

does an amazing job of eloquently explaining a highly technical aspect of the protocol.

This is just a contest entry.

You're recommending @kevinwong for the position?

Gotcha, read your other comment.

hi @acidyo, I looked at the comments (there's a lot of them on that post) and even searched but couldn't locate @ned's response. Would you be so kind and point me to it ? Thanks

It's not in this post, go to his profile and check through his comments directly instead. I'm on the phone atm so it would take me a while to find the corrt one.

thanks

Kevin is great. A long-time friend and that article was definitely something we took a look at. We appreciate the entry, but I think Kevin has his hands full.

Yes, I know you are long-time friends. I have watched this SF presentation by both of your on stage a few times when I first joined Steem last year. You guys make a good team. Maybe a repeat at SF3?

Haha, got something else in the works for SF3 ;) Looking forward to seeing him though!

Very interesting question from the lady at around min 16' - the camera doesn't manage to show her and she's not introducing herself. Anyone happens to know who's the lady asking about the risk of curie becoming a gatekeeper to content ?

Actually @kevinwong had unintentionally answered her question during his speech and @andrarchy answers very well too: anyone can create another "guild" on the model of @curie

I have been feeling Kevin as Satoshi Nakomoto because I have never seen his photo in his blog . Thanks for sharing. I got to see him finally!!

This is my huge list of minnow tips and I send it to new people all the time. I get a lot of thanks for helping people and still get comments on this post today even though it is a year old.

https://steemit.com/money/@fitinfun/make-money-blogging-on-steemit-top-tips-and-checklist-for-better-results

I normally post "Monday Minnow Tips" one one topic or another and get excellent response to them. I have not done this since the fork took the wind out of my sails, but I soon will start up again.

I am a writer and have books published on Amazon about natural health and weight loss. My past life was as an accountant and I have written and untold number manuals and tutorials on complicated subjects. I was also a course writer for a few universities. My courses were in the areas of accounting, economics, and risk management.

Currently, I can speak “Steem” at an advanced (not expert) level and I am fluent in English. I would welcome the chance at the opportunity, and I think it is a great idea.

Good luck @fitinfun I know you like writing.

Yes!! Sharon is dedicated to explaining this platform to users!

Yes!! Sharon!!! Hope you get it - seems to me there would be room for more than one person...

I think you should just look to who is already a technical writer for STEEM.

@taskmaster4450

Good luck @improv this is right up your alley.

You certainly understand all the concepts!! Good luck!

Good luck!! I know you would do a great job!

Your writings are clear and easy to understand which is neccessary when writing about complicated matters. My vote is for you @improv and I hope you get the job! Good luck!

Thanks for your vote of confidence!

@taskmaster4450 would be an excellent choice. I read his posts every day. He is a positive voice in these bearish times and in each post analyzes something new regarding the blockchain.
