Trending without bots would be great and is needed. We could do this now just by linking the list of bots to the UI and moving all posts voted on by those bots to the 'promoted' page. However, this has a dark side in that people could nefariously upvote posts with bots for small amounts to remove them from the trending page!
Btw, I tried the tool you linked, but when I turned on the 'no upvoting bots' flag and ran a search with no other options set, I only got one post back!
