The TEEM in STEEM: I Will Follow Anyone On Steemit Who Votes For Me As A Witness!
Steemit has many great qualities and one of them is the collaboration and co-operation. It would be great to follow 1000s people but the reality is that none of us has the time in our lives to read through every post from 1000s of people... So we are forced to limit who we follow.
Since I joined Steemit I have followed over 500 people and am happy to add new people when I find that they share my interests/goals/intentions - even if it's just the intention of feeling good and helping each other out. At some point though I will need to start thinning out that last of people I follow just so that my Steemit feed remains useful to me and so that I can do my job of curating content here and all the other fun aspects of sharing posts with the world. So right now it is much more challenging to get me to follow you than it was when I first joined and I expect that will be a similar pattern for most other Steemians.
Follow for Witness Votes!
At present, I am campaigning to be a witness on Steemit and it's quite a big deal for me, but I think a lot of people don't really understand what Witnesses do or that we all have votes we can use to support witnesses that we think/feel will be good for us and for Steemit. It's really quite tough sometimes to get people to even think about voting for witnesses, let alone to motivate them to vote for you as a witness.
I already provide a few services to Steemit.com, in the form of graphical themes that change how Steemit appears and various other addons and I have quite big plans for really exciting ways that I can help Steemit to grow in the future. However, I need to get more witness votes to earn more from the witness program - so that I can afford to put more time into creating new projects exclusively for Steemit - so this is where your Witness vote for me will help a lot.
If you will vote for me as a witness, I will follow you on Steemit, so that you get more chance of being upvoted and resteemed. I am not promising to upvote you or resteem your posts, as I only do that for posts that I specifically value and want to spread around with everyone else - but you will at least be sure I will see your posts and best of all it costs you nothing more than a few clicks on the witness voting screen.

oh, I don't see you in my list of witness voters - can you double check that my name appears on your witness vote page? - there was a problem where some votes weren't counted while steemit was broken recently. thanks!

Yes I've seen some sad statistics on the percentage of users who even bother voting for witnesses. A couple of months ago it was less than 10%!

Already doing both and have voted for you. I find it all too much to read as I have stated in many posts. I feel we need a section where we can have tabs to our chosen subject areas this would increase functionality I feel :)
Thanks! Yes, there is definitely a need for greater organisation here - it's hard to know which website is going to provide that as Steemit inc are so quiet about their planned changes.
